7th May-3rd day in Camp
Swearing in day finally showed up(...i was able to tie my belt) and we took an oath to do somethings. Oaths are very binding for anyone who values the word of his mouth. While we were taking the oaths, i remembered God took an oath too that we will be priests forever after the order of Melchizedek which means we have access into God's presence forever. God's oath is binding; mine should be too. Friend, if you cannot pay the price of an oath, don't bother taking it. Let your word be expensive just like our Father. I had to snap the oath form to always remember the promise i made. The ceremony lasted 4hours of which we were in the sun all through and the man o' war ladies won the tug of war.
The atmosphere on the camp really chokes Zoe. You hear Wizkid on parade and Olamide in your room, in fact, it looks like Wizkid in my front, D'banj on my right, Olamide on the left and Tuface behind(...i am very very sensitive to songs). It seems like everyone around is flowing with it and even the supposed S.U. have started shaking to Olamide. I began to really feel pressured; my personal devotions is not enough to stand and stay strong in an environment that a speaker is screaming Tuface while you are reading John chapter 1. So i began to seek for help.
I moved forward with my registration today because there was queue. You remember that scripture that says by wisdom, a house is built.
There have been troubles about toilet cleaning in the camp. During the day, i entered the toilet without water to urinate and a guy disgraced me out (...he even threathened me with a soldier,so i ran out). Afterwards, i felt quite bad because my mom has always told me to flush even after just urinating. I only obeyed her most of the time which led to my disgrace in a toilet. Always flush the toilet after just urinating.
At the evening parade, i began to uncounsiously meditate and sing loudly. It caught the attention of the person in front of me and we chatted for a while. I discovered that he stays in my room and he attended the Lagos State University chapter of the fellowship i atttended while i was in college too(...our meeting isnt a coincidence).
After the parade, i decide to forgo my food and rushed to NCCF meeting. It was really refreshing to hear songs sang by many people which my spirit could enjoy; it was awesome. The local govt chairman of the location of the camp preached(...i have never heard any politician with his depth). I joined biblestudy unit afterwards.
