In my prayer times, the Holy Spirit spoke to me of an urgent situation in Kaduna state that needs to be addressed by prayers. The LORD said that there is a spirit of the scoffer in the land that is resisting the preaching of the gospel. The book of Proverbs actually describes a scoffer as one who denies the existence of God as a result of arrogance and pride. (Pro 21:24) Apostle Peter in 2Pet 3:3-4 describes a scoffer as a person who do not believe that Jesus is coming back again and as a result of that, wants to live according to the flesh and it's lust. 2 Peter 3:4 and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as [they were] from the beginning of creation." This spirit is being released over Kaduna state and needs us to pray against it. This second assembly is of Pastors in Nigeria. This time, the general oversea of RCCG, Pastor Adeboye was the one addressing them. When I picked up the book to read, I expected to see some 'mighty' words and teachings because I have always known her to be a ‘deep’ teacher, however I simply wanted to learn about the dynamics of intercession more, but what I met was a very simplified exhortation about prayer. This is the first book written by Cindy Trimm I will read. I particularly find her writing pattern different from many Christian authors. She writes in a fascinating manner that makes you want to read more. This book centers on how much can be achieved when we pray. She didn't share anything 'deep', but the book broke me and remolded me to become more like Jesus Intimacy is the theme of the writing and I relearnt intimacy in a beautiful way. Yesterday, I prayed into the night with some of my friends and around 12 am, I was led to continue reading a book by Cindy Trimm-The Prayer Warrior's Way. The book expounds the role of prayers in living a supernatural life daily. She used stories to pass across her message and one of the stories she used is the story of a British Politician- William Wilberforce. In the morning, I retired to my bed and decided to listen to a message. I eventually decided to listen to a message preached in 2017 by Pastor Olubi Johnson- Africa Will Surely Rise. The message was a prophetic expository of the school anthem of the first secondary school in Nigeria- C.M.S Grammar School, Bariga. The school was founded by missionaries. He said he doesn't know all of them except a man called William Wilberforce! Again? This same name? What stunned me more was that the missionaries established the school on June 6th! The need for intercessors in the earth today, is at the highest level in the history of mankind. This is because the will of the Lord, needs facilitation to be established as the Age is fast rounding up. Kenneth Hagin, in his book- The Art of Prayer, said that 'it is as if God cannot do anything except a man prays' . Intercession, therefore, is very key to the fulfillment of God's will in an individual, community, nation, and the world at large. In the bible, we see several men who played this intercessory role, and got tremendous results. From Abraham, to David, to Elijah, Daniel, Jesus, and Paul; we see different patterns of intercession. At this moment in time, the Lord would have intercessors pay attention to the pattern of intercession pictured in the ministry of Daniel. During the week, I was praying for nations that will have elections in 2020. I found a list on Wikipedia to guide my prayers. The first nation I prayed for was Burundi. As I began to pray the country, the Lord showed me a dirty rope that in a gutter. I inquired on what the rope means. The Lord said that the rope signifies an alliance against the counsel of the Lord in the country. Some politicians are coming together to form an alliance so as to win the election, but this alliance is not of the Lord and it has to be broken to ensure the counsel of the Lord stands. I don't know about Burundian politics, so I made some research about it. From my research, I discovered that the incumbent president will be standing down and the two major parties in the country have started the race to win the seat. I do not know where this unGodly alliance lies- Ruling party or Opposition, but I am sure of an alliance against the one chosen by the Lord. Spend some time to pray for the land. ...

While I have been engrossed with the situation in the middle East, the Lord turned my attention towards a state in Nigeria- Sokoto State. I have written a series that involves Sokoto State- The Quest of Usman Dan Fodio and I explained a lot about the role that the location has played in the shaping of Nigeria's experiences in the last 200 years. It was a surprise when I had a vision where I saw a woman collect the microphone in a meeting where I saw many believers. She cried out for people to rise up and pray for Sokoto state. She said 'why is the oil not refined in this land?' 'Pray for Sokoto state', she shouted. I had this vision twice in the same night. I give glory to God for the way He led us in the year 2019. It was indeed a spectacular one that furthered the counsel of the LORD in the earth. I particularly was excited at the opportunities the year brought to the body of Christ. A major calling I have is to watch the events happening on earth and tie them with prophecies about the last days. I consider this assignment a huge one because of the nature of the last days. We cannot afford to be uninformed. So I will be sharing the 2019 events that are noteworthy for every believer. Africa was on the spotlight in the year! Economy The year started with positive predictions about a rise in world economy. PwC and UN were optimistic about the year. The battle for the leadership of nations is one that I thought should be obvious, but the devil has succeeded in making us run beyond the finish line. We have become intelligent that all we now see are ideologies and political science. I am not an unbeliever in knowledge and ideologies, but I think we need to be more humble to recognize that some things have happened that were beyond calculations and opinion polls. The battle to own this world ought to be glaring to every man, but the devil has hid himself behind several thought patterns. An example is religious intolerance. This is the major route through which the devil used to effectively send the influence of God out of the educational system in the world. The educational system is basic to the value system of a society as the values are built into the next generation using the school. The devil was stealth enough to introduce religious intolerance to break the stronghold of the influence of God in the schools which had existed for decades. Students with other faiths began to get uncomfortable with the truth of God's word as projected by their colleagues and this led to a series of court cases in many countries.
