Book of Revelations by Rick Joyner

Rick Joyner During the year 2018, Rick Joyner did an extensive study on the book of revelations. The book is one of the least understood books of the bible and the reason is because it is sealed. I wrote about it earlier; you can read it here The importance of this book to us at this time cannot be overemphasized. I have compiled some of the lessons I learned from the series and brought them to you: Heaven Heaven is a place and not an abstract analogy or a literary expression. There is a tangible place called heaven and it is somewhere the mind cannot figure out. The place is very huge so much that the mind cannot begin to try to imagine how big it is. The size of the earth is nothing compared to what heaven looks like. This is why the word of the Lord will surely come to pass because there is no force on the earth that can stand against the counsel of heaven. No matter the size of the evil on this earth, victory is certain. The power that backs a believer is beyond al

The Book of Revelations

The book of Revelation is one of the most unread book of the bible. This is not because of the volume of the book, but because it is one of the books that is no t easily understood. Many who read it only have an academic knowledge while a lot have abandoned this book. The book was written by one of the disciples of Jesus- John. John was a fisherman when Jesus called him and in Israel at that time, the caste system in their schools puts the best students as Pharisees and Sadducees while the worst are the fishermen. So, John was a man who had little or no academic prowess. With that knowledge of who the writer was, we can see that the book of Revelation is not a book that can be understood academically. Actually, I believe that it is a sealed book. (Another sealed book in the bible is Genesis). The book cannot be understood unless it is opened to you. The book is largely about the end times and it is the most elaborate book in the bible about the crucial period that we are al

Last Day's Armor

The arrangement of the books of the bible is not a coincidence that we should overlook. The books were not arranged chronologically. I believe that the Holy Spirit directed the arrangement just like He directed the writing. The last books of the bible plays a significant contribution to how believers should live in the last days. The books of Apostle John were the latest set of books that were canonized, but 4 out of the 5 of his books were placed in the last part of the new testament. The 3 letters of John have the same theme which is Love and Love has a great impact on the posture of believers in this last days. I, by the grace and mercy of God, have seen that if we would really be able to walk with God in this last days, we must be ready to walk in Love. God's nature is Love and God's kingdom is invading the earth much more than ever in the history of the recreated earth, so the rules are changing. Walking in love is becoming more important than it used to be. If

Topic: Witnesses, Leaders and Commanders Text: Isaiah 55:4 Behold, I have given him [for] a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people. Like I have always said, the times and season should dictate the posture of believers. In the bible days, the Jews have few iron equipments which is used for farming during the times of peace and for weapons during the times of war. So, when there is a trumpet sound for war, they quickly take their farming equipments to the smith to change it to weapons of war. Imagine a person who didn't hear the trumpet sound of war. The battle will meet him unprepared as all he would have will be farming equipments and not weapons. During the last weekend, I attended a program tagged Issachar Gathering. Issachar is a type of the believer that understands the times and season and also knows what to do. I attended the meeting to know what God is saying to us at this time. One important habit we must be doing in this last days is listening

The Joel Army 3

I believe that I have been able to establish to you what the Joel Army is, so I will move on to explain what the duty of this army will be in the last days. A very fascinating description of this army is what Prophet Joel mentions in the first sentence of the third verse of chapter two. I consider it fascinating because I have never seen any description like that in the bible used for a group of people. (Let me know if you have found any). It says that fire burns in front of them and a flame burns behind them. The temperature around these soldiers must be life threatening. Physically, no man can survive this kind of condition. Spiritually, it also has a connotation that fascinates. Fire was first mentioned in the bible when God wanted to judge Sodom and Gomorrah. It must have existed before that time, but the law of first mention in interpreting the bible certifies that fire is an instrument for judgment. This is consistent from the old testament to the new testament. Fire,

Nigeria In The Bible

As we approach another celebration of the independence of the nation Nigeria, I will like us to know some things about this nation that the LORD has shown me. If a man wants to know the details of God's will for his life, he would need to read the things that have been written or said about him by God. Prophecy is one of the ways that the will of God can be known. Prophecy is voicing God's will. This same principle applies to territories as territories also have a will established by God for them to fulfill. In the scriptures, we see details of many nations that existed in that time. Nations like Israel, Egypt, Syria, Edom, Philistine, Babylon and in the new testament, we saw countries like Italy and Spain which still exists till today. Most of the nations that were mentioned in the old testament bear a new name today. There were some nations mentioned in the old testament, but their names were not specified. God, through the prophets spoke about the destiny of some na

Topic: Love Text: 1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God We live in a time that the bible says that darkness will cover the earth and gross darkness will cover the people. This makes the quest for light to be so great and anyone that does not have light will stumble and fall. Bible says that our God is the father of light. Jesus said that He is the light of this world. If we would walk in light in this dark period, we must find God. God is the only route out of the darkness that seeks to take everyone and everything. However, as much as finding God is very important, we cannot find God unless we are walking on the pathway of love. God is love and if we will find God, we must be walking in love. If we would hear God clearly at this time, we must be walking in love. That is what will clear the waves of darkness and give us the chance to see the heart of God for whatever direction we need. W

The Joel Army 2

One writing pattern I have learnt from Prophet Rick Joyner when writing about the details of the last days is not to be completely authoritative. We must all learn that we see in part and a sign that what you believe is wrong is when you refuse to subject it to scrutiny. I am aware that some circles of believers that I respect and still learn from do not believe that God is raising an army according to the writing of Prophet Joel in Joel 2:1-11. However, we agree that irrespective of the name we call the army, there is truly raising an army. The canon of scripture shows that some writings are directed at the natural Israel while some are directed towards the spiritual Israel. Historical books talk more about the natural Israel and it is for our learning while prophetic books point more to the spiritual Israel than the natural Israel. The book of Joel is one of such writings that points to the spiritual Israel- the church. Joel starts his book by describing the state of

As the Jewish New Year Begins…

The Jewish nation is a nation founded by God when the descendants of Jacob left Egypt. The culture and laws were determined by God. God was the supreme leader of the Jews at that time so everything depended on Him. God gave these laws and cultural patterns to Moses and he (Moses) was instructed to build and establish things according to a pattern that God showed him on the mountain. The intention of God was clear: “Your kingdom come, Your will be done on the earth as it is in heaven” (Matt 6:10). So the natural Israel was created for us to understand how things ought to be. Everything that God established in the natural Israel is a type of what truly exists in the spiritual Israel. The calendar that was given to the Jews by God is different from the calendar that we use today. It has 12 months too, but it is not according to our January to December of the Roman calendar that we use today. Their new year starts in September and ends in August. However, the bible translation to En

The Joel Army

The bible is full of several prophecies about the last days or the end times. The church is familiar with what covers just half of the prophecies. The other half have not been taught so well in many churches. Perhaps, this is the work of the devil in keeping us from knowing the truth. The prophecies in the bible about the last days are two fold. It is like a sword that has two edges. One edge is what we know as the terrible things that will happen. Things like wars, earthquakes, disease outbreaks and christian conditions like reduced love for God, apostasy and many more. These are certainly true, but that is not all about the last days. The bible also talked about prophecies of the church becoming really great in the last days. Maybe our little knowledge of the books we refer to as minor prophets in the bible is responsible for this, I cannot say. But if we will fulfill our calling as sons of God, we must understand the whole scripture. The bible talks about a group of people

Topic: Love Text: Galatians 5:6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. This week the LORD would have us look at a very important thing in the scriptures. Many believers believe that this topic is the most important and I agree with them to a very great degree. Love in this last days is not a topic that we can overlook as it is a very potent weapon of defence and attack that we all need in this time. Bible says that God is love. Love is the way that will make us win the greatest number of souls into the kingdom in this period. The gifts of the Spirit are so needed, but love is the greatest that we need at this time. The good news of the gospel will spread in our days through the way of love. Without love, we cannot bear fruits and we would not be able to bring joy to our God. I urge you to begin to show love to people who doing wrong things at this time as you believe that God would change them. Se

Why Talk About Last Days?

Why is my noise so loud on this "last days" thing? Why can't I just talk about something else in the bible? Moreover, there are many other things that are important and necessary to be understood. Yes. I agree with you and I am not saying that the knowledge of the last days is the most important thing in the bible, but at this time, the understanding of the last days affects everything! Nothing is outside the reach of the ripples of the times that we are living in. In the latter days of the old testament, metals materials were used for two things- harvest and war. During the harvest time, they will convert all war equipment into harvest equipments and during war times, the harvest equipments will be turned into war weapons. If there is a sound of war, it means you must take your harvest equipments to the smith and get them into swords, shields and spears, but if you ignore the sounds of war and the war meets farming tools in your hands, you will be a casu

Topic: Harvest Time Text: Proverbs 10:5 He that gathereth in summer [is] a wise son: [but] he that sleepeth in harvest [is] a son that causeth shame. Walking with God requires us to understand what God is doing at a time for us to be able to follow Him accurately. If we do not understand what God is doing at a time, we would not be able to follow Him correctly. In our days, one thing is certain and it is the plenteous harvest that is everywhere we turn to. The massive increase in the population of the world today in every country has brought a great responsibility for believers. The text for this week describes two kinds of sons and all maturing believers fall into either of these categories. One gathers during summer, which is the right time to store food before winter comes. The other son sleeps during the harvest season. It is either he doesn't know that the season upon him is the harvest season or he decided to ignore the signs of the times. Wise believers do not

Important Announcement

I have been going through a season of molting in my writing career. I started with writing articles that looked more like the Psalms of David in 2010 and then I moved to writing stories in 2016 and this has been the major base of my blog. However, for some months now, I have been sensing a shift in the scope of my blog. My blog has always been about stories- some of them are completely fictional, some are from the rewriting of bible stories in a contemporary way while others are real. The LORD would have me enlarge the scope of the blog to include teachings and instructions about the last days. I believe that this is very essential at this time because the timing always determine the stature that believers must attain and maintain. To me, I find it very crucial to fulfill God's purpose for my life, so as much as I would like to just stick to my stories, I won't want to be disobedient to the heavenly calling. So, watch out for many things that pertain solely to the end

Topic: Grooming Children Text: Matthew 19:14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. The agenda of God for this last days is being revealed unto us and it has thus far, shown that children have a place in the plans of God for this time and that is why God is raising a people who have the desire to lead children into the realms of the Spirit. God is raising men who are called into what we know today as children ministry and it is the duty of these people to show them the way of the LORD. In the text for the week, we see an act of the disciples of Jesus which is similar to what we do today in the church. We often look at the children as if they do not have the right to the things of God. We assume that their mental capacity cannot handle the things of God. Jesus rebuked them and called for the children to come to Him and He did a profound thing- He laid hands of them. The children are the only set of

Topic: Resurrection Life Text: Philippians 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; This week, the LORD will have us look and press into the power of resurrection as a key ingredient for believers in this last days. Resurrection is simply the bringing back to life of things that are dead. Specifically, the resurrection of our LORD, Jesus Christ from the dead. This is the fulcrum of our gospel as if Jesus never rose from the dead, then our gospel is void. Charles Spurgeon once wrote that "there are very few Christians who believe in the resurrection". This brings us to the point of dissecting if our belief stands on true faith or just mental ascent. True faith is seen from the actions that correspond to what we believe. If we claim that we believe, but we do not take actions that correspond to what we believe, we do not believe. The power of resurrection brings life

There are 3 armies prophesied in the bible as the army of the LORD and they are the Gideon's army of 300, the Joel's army and the Ezekiel's army of dry bones that came alive. The Gideon's army are few and they are a pioneering generation while the Joel's army are the ones that will break open the 7 spheres of influence and the Ezekiel's army will be composed of men that will be saved as a result of the work done by the Joel's army. The times that we are presently belongs to the Joel army and they are already being birthed. The work of this army will be to take the mantle of the Gideon's army and break open the marketplace unto the kingdom. One of the characteristics of this army is that they are an army of fire. Obviously, when this kind of call goes out, it is because there is an impending outpouring of the Spirit of God over the earth. The LORD is calling us to have greater capacities so that we can be able to hold the living waters. Our response to calls like this should be to spend more time with God. Our text says that we should enlarge, stretch forth, lengthen and strengthen. They all refer to an increase. The world is full of darkness and the light of the world must be able to suck adequately from the fountain of life because it is when we suck from the fountain of life that we will see the light in His light (Ps 36:9). Topic: Faithfulness Text: 1 Corinthians 4:2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. This week, the LORD is calling us to be faithful. The price and prize for faithfulness is at the greatest in the history of man. Faithfulness according to God's standard is simply carrying out the instructions God gives to us where He wants us to do it, when He wants us to do it and how He wants us to do it. As simple as it may sound, he lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and the pride of life has made the price of being faithful to be very high. However, for a man that submits himself to walking in the spirit daily, it would be a work of Grace to the glory of God. At this time, the prize that God puts on faithfulness is also very great and the reason is because prophecies are being fulfilled. In these days, there are shakings going on in the heavens which is displacing the princes that have taken hold of territories and councils (Matt 24:29). The LORD is rai

Topic: Thanksgiving 2 Text: 2 Corinthians 3:5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as [being] from ourselves, but our sufficiency [is] from God, Last week, the LORD asked us to attain a heart posture of gratitude. This week, He is insisting on us becoming grateful for the things He has done for us. So, He has impressed it upon my heart to spend another week to study thanksgiving. Considering the text for this week, we see that Paul, as mighty as he was actually needed the input of God before He could be effective. The same goes for us too. God has been our sufficiency on all sides and that's why we should be grateful. In Psalms 48, the sons of Korah, who wrote the book declares that our God is beautiful for situation which means that there is no prayer request that gets to God's table and He won't know what to do! Another way to explain this is to use the analogy of a nursing mother. The woman is all the baby has and she provides everyth

Taxi Episode- Jesus Inside Bus!

I could have dozed off inside the Ajumose bus (the Ibadan version of BRT), but something woke me up. It was a voice that carried more than lyrics and melody. The effect it had on me was like that of a hotspot that has just detected a Wi-Fi. My aim was to rest my muscles as I was going home inside the bus, but the song this man is singing is triggering a chain reaction. For a while now, I have been meditating on the tangible presence of God and how to discover it even in a very secular atmosphere. Few seats ahead of me inside the bus, a man was singing a song and it was causing so much presence inside the bus. I could sense it. He was singing- "at the center of it all, it's You that I see". He kept on repeating that line, quite loudly. I know it is prohibited to do religious stuffs inside the bus, but the network is too strong for my hotspot not to connect. I damned the consequences and I began to sing along. I started with humming before I fully joined the sing

I welcome you to the start of a new month and the second half of this year. To start this half, the LORD would have us to be reminded of a key instruction in the scriptures concerning the will of God. When we are faced with decisions, we often seek to know the will of God and it is very important that we know what this will of God is. In the text for this week, we see obviously what the LORD wants us to do as His will in everything we find ourselves- give thanks! Thanksgiving is the will of God for us in any situation. When you don't know how to react, give thanks for it is the will of God. Thanksgiving is very certain to be at the center of God's will for us everything. It is often said that you can never praise amiss. It is true. Yes, there are unpalatable circumstances that you would be unreasonable to be giving thanks f

Topic: Purpose and Destiny Text: Romans 8:30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. It is no longer news that we are in the last days of this age and this must affect the way we live our lives because the bible tells us that this period is different from what we are used to. One of the ways of wisdom that we must apply our hearts to is God's purpose and destiny for man. Our God does everything He does in sequence with an end point in mind. In other words, God has a purpose and destiny for everything He created. Man also has a purpose and destiny in God. Purpose is different from destiny, but they are interlocking. Our destiny is simply our destination I.e. where we will end the entire race. Our destination is not heaven, but the bossom of God. However, heaven is an important junction in our journey. Where God wants every man to end is inside of Him. Heaven will pass awa

Topic: Watch and Pray Text: Mark 14:38 Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed [is] willing, but the flesh [is] weak." One of the instructions of our LORD to us is to watch and pray. This is one of the most essential instruction to us in this last days where prophecies are being fulfilled. Several prophecies have been foretold about the times that we are living in and the dynamics of the fulfillment of prophecies require us to watch and pray. Daniel, during his days practicalized this instruction when he began to read the prophecies of Jeremiah about the times he was living. He discovered that there was a word from the LORD that ought to have been fulfilled, so he began to fast and pray. The process of checking prophecies and making sure that the counsel of the LORD is being established in the land is what is referred to as watching. In Daniel 4, we see the action of a watcher (which could be an angel or a man) making decrees that it must be

[ "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart"](that is, the word of faith which we preach): This week, the LORD will have us engage in personal evangelism. The heart beat of God remains that men will be saved and they would come to the knowledge of the truth. At this time of life, many are on the brink of ending up in hell as the coming of our LORD is close. Moreover, the devil is using all means to get people away from this earth by death using all sort of diseases and events that is leading to death. As much as we are not led by these sad occurrences, we must not neglect our duty of evangelizing the world. We are the only ones on this earth that can preach the word of faith and we must engage actively in it this time. I urge you to go out of your way to preach the word to unbelievers at this time. Topic: Leaning On Her Beloved Text: Song of Solomon 8:5 Who [is] this coming up from the wilderness, Leaning upon her beloved? I awakened you under the apple tree. There your mother brought you forth; There she [who] bore you brought [you] forth. I came across this verse of the bible in 300L when I read a material by Pastor Mick Bickle of the International House Of Prayer. Since then, the scripture has stayed with me and while I prayed this morning, the LORD brought it back to me as the word for this week. The verse explains a scene where a woman, leaning upon her husband whom she loves, is coming out of the wilderness. The woman signifies the bride of Christ which we are and the beloved is our Jesus. The wilderness in the bible signifies a place of unpleasant experiences where you are tested and made to grow into a particular posture. This scripture is very reassuring as we can now see that the LORD Himself is aware of our many struggles and He is not just aware, but He is

Hearing God: Inner Witness

Hearing God is an ability that every believer longs for, but very few have. People get interested whenever they hear anyone sharing a formula about hearing God. As much as we long to hear God, we may just be blocking our ears with a little thing. I got my breakthrough in this when I read Romans 12:6 in NLT version. It dawned on me that my hearing God is based on how much I believe that it is God that is speaking to me. So, I began to take the impressions in my heart seriously, believing that it is God that put the impression there. Since then, I have seen a tremendous growth in how much I hear God. Often times, we look for God in the spectacular things like prophecy, dream, vision, trance or through another christian. There is nothing wrong with all that, but you must know that the still small voice within you carry a lot of weight. We often discard and disobey the still small voice and we long to have dreams. That's wrong. You don't have to sleep before God can speak

The Joel Army

I was part of the team that went for a mission outreach to a school (the school has primary and secondary) today. We got there earlier than the scheduled time, so we had to wait in the principal's office for some time before the fellowship would start. While waiting, I decided to check the book of Joel again. I read chapter 1 and few verses in chapter 2. I couldn't continue the reading because my entire fingers were shaking. It seems like some powers entered into it from the bible I was holding. I had to stand up and pace the principal's office to ease myself a little bit. What I saw in chapter 1 made my heart burn! Joel described the terrible situation of the land. Crops being destroyed by insects, the fruits that were ripe for harvest were all left to rot away. The animals had no food to eat nor water to drink. The fountains had dried! The priests were out of work as there was no sacrifice to offer anymore. The destruction was loud and domineering! Every singl

Hide- A Call To Have A Secret Place

The first meaning of the word that came to my heart is a call to the secret place. I have written about this before, but the Lord wants to refresh and stir up our pure minds by bringing this to our remembrance again. I was studying Psalms 91 one day and the first verse struck me like I have never read it before. The phrase that stuck to me eyes looked like a mistake. I was bewildered that such a thing exists so much that I thought it was a mistake. "...secret place of the most high". I wondered why the Lord would have a secret place. Questions like this poured into my mind as I pondered on this phrase and I made some conclusions that day about the Lord. One, the Lord has a secret place, which is not out of the blues for anyone familiar with powerful men in Yoruba land. This revelation that I thought would stop my questions brought me into more and more questions. What would God be doing in His secret place? Matthew 6:6 settled my queries. God has a secret place where

Hide

The first time I heard the word- Hide in my heart was October, 2017. I was waiting upon the Lord to seek for the understanding of the times when I heard the word hide. The Holy Spirit further led me to study Isaiah 26. Reading the chapter, I found the word in verse 20. I shared it with my friends who were around and we all wondered what it meant. The last three months of 2017 was the most exciting of my entire time as a Christian. I had an angelic visitation that I am yet to recover from, several visions, dreams and encounters with saints of old. It all remains fresh in my heart as I long for more. February 2018, I found this same word in my heart again while praying in Tongues. I wondered what it meant, but I knew something was really up about this word. I started writing it on my WhatsApp status and Facebook page. As at that time, I didn't know what the meaning is. I told those who asked me that it's a call to the secret place. That was all I could say. Early this m

The time set for this age is reducing as we move closer to the coming of our Lord. It is a very exciting time with a lot of events happening. Paul talked about this present dispensation in Ephesians chapter 3 and he made bare the purpose of God for this time. As the age rounds up, we need to begin to evaluate how much this purpose has been achieved in and through us. Although, it is beyond what can be done in a man, we all have a place in it. The purpose of God for this dispensation of Grace is for God to reveal Himself to the principalities and powers in the heavens by the church. It means that the principalities and powers are lea

Parable Of Brushes

I once came across some brushes that are used to paint buildings. They all had the color that came from the manufacturer, but it seems that there was a difference in the colors I saw, so I moved closer. I discovered that the brushes do not all look alike. Some brushes has their color altered severely by the color of the paints they have been used to paint over time, so they had a color that could not be well defined. They looked quite rough. I also saw another set of brushes that do not have the mixed color that the first group have. The initial color from the manufacturer could still be seen, but it has faded to a great extent, so instead of them having the mixed color of the others. They looked old. Then I saw a third set of brushes. They were completely clean. Unstained. I wondered why they were so clean and new and I discovered that they have not been used to do any work. They are just fresh from the manufacturer. They looked very new. The entire gathering of the brushes

Topic: Jesus, The Pattern (Part 2) Text: Hebrews 3:1 Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus, Last time, we considered Jesus as our pattern. We will continue to look at that truth as it is becoming more important that we are established in the truth of God's word more than in any other form or source of knowledge. The writer of Hebrews constructed the book in an argumentative manner where Jesus was the subject from the beginning to the end. This pattern can also be seen in all the books of the bible. From Genesis, God had been talking about Jesus through the stories of the life of the men that were available at that time. Stories of men like Adam, Abel, Seth, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob(Israel) all typified Jesus. Even men like Joseph pointed to the Messiah that was coming. The same pattern exists in all the other books of the bible. Our calling as believers is to become like Jesu

8 Years In Christ

It's another April 4 and today marks 8 years since I gave my life to Jesus. I still remember my first few weeks in OAU. Several students were coming to preach to the new students and I was visited by a lot of them. A brother from Great Commission Movement, a brother from Deeper Life, another brother came all by himself and a sister from Jehovah Witness. They all made me see that there is a life different from the church life I was living. April 4 came and I submitted to Jesus. That was 8 years ago. I am very grateful to God for keeping me. It's been a long journey, but at each junction, God found me and held my hand. I prefer celebrating today as my true birth day rather than natural birth day. Last year, I made a promise to God that I will always preach to someone every April 4. I preach on other days too, but I take April 4 very special.
