Topic: Watch and Pray
Text: Mark 14:38 Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed [is] willing, but the flesh [is] weak."
One of the instructions of our LORD to us is to watch and pray. This is one of the most essential instruction to us in this last days where prophecies are being fulfilled.
Several prophecies have been foretold about the times that we are living in and the dynamics of the fulfillment of prophecies require us to watch and pray.
Daniel, during his days practicalized this instruction when he began to read the prophecies of Jeremiah about the times he was living. He discovered that there was a word from the LORD that ought to have been fulfilled, so he began to fast and pray.
The process of checking prophecies and making sure that the counsel of the LORD is being established in the land is what is referred to as watching. In Daniel 4, we see the action of a watcher (which could be an angel or a man) making decrees that it must be established in the earth that God rules in the affairs of men.
A watcher is someone who can see the occurrences in the spiritual world and is able to tie it to physical events as spiritual occurrences always have a corresponding physical event. We must understand that the spiritual world is the tangible realm while the physical world is just a mirror of the spiritual world.
The LORD wants us at this time to watch what is taking place in the spiritual realm and begin to make decrees on the earth to establish the counsel of the LORD. That's what watchers do.
I urge you to check out the prophecies about your life and about this time and begin to pray and fast for the fulfillment. Be a watcher! Fast and Pray!
Have a great week
