Hide- A Call To Have A Secret Place

The first meaning of the word that came to my heart is a call to the secret place. I have written about this before, but the Lord wants to refresh and stir up our pure minds by bringing this to our remembrance again. I was studying Psalms 91 one day and the first verse struck me like I have never read it before. The phrase that stuck to me eyes looked like a mistake. I was bewildered that such a thing exists so much that I thought it was a mistake. "...secret place of the most high". I wondered why the Lord would have a secret place. Questions like this poured into my mind as I pondered on this phrase and I made some conclusions that day about the Lord. One, the Lord has a secret place, which is not out of the blues for anyone familiar with powerful men in Yoruba land. This revelation that I thought would stop my questions brought me into more and more questions. What would God be doing in His secret place? Matthew 6:6 settled my queries. God has a secret place where

Hide

The first time I heard the word- Hide in my heart was October, 2017. I was waiting upon the Lord to seek for the understanding of the times when I heard the word hide. The Holy Spirit further led me to study Isaiah 26. Reading the chapter, I found the word in verse 20. I shared it with my friends who were around and we all wondered what it meant. The last three months of 2017 was the most exciting of my entire time as a Christian. I had an angelic visitation that I am yet to recover from, several visions, dreams and encounters with saints of old. It all remains fresh in my heart as I long for more. February 2018, I found this same word in my heart again while praying in Tongues. I wondered what it meant, but I knew something was really up about this word. I started writing it on my WhatsApp status and Facebook page. As at that time, I didn't know what the meaning is. I told those who asked me that it's a call to the secret place. That was all I could say. Early this m

Topic: Eternal Purpose Of God Text: Ephesians 3:10-11 to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly [places,] according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, Its a new week already and the time of life is passing away gradually. The time set for this age is reducing as we move closer to the coming of our Lord. It is a very exciting time with a lot of events happening. Paul talked about this present dispensation in Ephesians chapter 3 and he made bare the purpose of God for this time. As the age rounds up, we need to begin to evaluate how much this purpose has been achieved in and through us. Although, it is beyond what can be done in a man, we all have a place in it. The purpose of God for this dispensation of Grace is for God to reveal Himself to the principalities and powers in the heavens by the church. It means that the principalities and powers are lea

Parable Of Brushes

I once came across some brushes that are used to paint buildings. They all had the color that came from the manufacturer, but it seems that there was a difference in the colors I saw, so I moved closer. I discovered that the brushes do not all look alike. Some brushes has their color altered severely by the color of the paints they have been used to paint over time, so they had a color that could not be well defined. They looked quite rough. I also saw another set of brushes that do not have the mixed color that the first group have. The initial color from the manufacturer could still be seen, but it has faded to a great extent, so instead of them having the mixed color of the others. They looked old. Then I saw a third set of brushes. They were completely clean. Unstained. I wondered why they were so clean and new and I discovered that they have not been used to do any work. They are just fresh from the manufacturer. They looked very new. The entire gathering of the brushes

Topic: Jesus, The Pattern (Part 2) Text: Hebrews 3:1 Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus, Last time, we considered Jesus as our pattern. We will continue to look at that truth as it is becoming more important that we are established in the truth of God's word more than in any other form or source of knowledge. The writer of Hebrews constructed the book in an argumentative manner where Jesus was the subject from the beginning to the end. This pattern can also be seen in all the books of the bible. From Genesis, God had been talking about Jesus through the stories of the life of the men that were available at that time. Stories of men like Adam, Abel, Seth, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob(Israel) all typified Jesus. Even men like Joseph pointed to the Messiah that was coming. The same pattern exists in all the other books of the bible. Our calling as believers is to become like Jesu

8 Years In Christ

It's another April 4 and today marks 8 years since I gave my life to Jesus. I still remember my first few weeks in OAU. Several students were coming to preach to the new students and I was visited by a lot of them. A brother from Great Commission Movement, a brother from Deeper Life, another brother came all by himself and a sister from Jehovah Witness. They all made me see that there is a life different from the church life I was living. April 4 came and I submitted to Jesus. That was 8 years ago. I am very grateful to God for keeping me. It's been a long journey, but at each junction, God found me and held my hand. I prefer celebrating today as my true birth day rather than natural birth day. Last year, I made a promise to God that I will always preach to someone every April 4. I preach on other days too, but I take April 4 very special. This afternoon, I walked my street looking for someone to preach to. The Lord honored my faith by bringing one more soul into the k

Topic: Jesus, The Pattern (Part 1) Text: Hebrews 3:1 Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus, The last days is a time to bear our identity at heart such that we carry it everywhere we go to and live our life from that standpoint. Our identity as a believer is the most crucial weapon of war right now. The text of our study this week calls us to consider someone. To consider means to think seriously, to look at attentively, to assign some quality to or to take up as an example. I like the last definition which says to take up as an example. Jesus is the pattern Son for anyone who would come into being a son of God. John 1:12 told us that the pathway to becoming a son is to believe in Jesus and this qualifies us to become children before we move on to become a son. Considering the life and ministry of Jesus is a core duty for anyone that will develop in our heavenly calling. We must know
