The last few days have been quite torrid for me. Apart from malaria symptoms in my body and a bloated mouth, I have been abused and called all sorts of names as a result of the actions and inactions of US President, Donald Trump following the Capitol Riots. I followed closely like you would expect and I saw all that happened. Some of my friends have threatened me in several ways; one even called me a Terrorist, saying that my mindset is not different from that of Mutallab. To be frank, I expected more action from Trump concerning the riots. He seemed to allow the disruption so that the certification will not hold. The roller coaster that has followed the November elections have left many in shock, but my rants here is not even about the election. It is about Christians who have come for the head of prophets and those who follow prophecies on a national and global level. This times are heated times and for the church, it is paramount for the ecclesia of Christ to recognize her role in the times. The church is the body of believers saddled with the responsibility to reach others with the gospel. In recent times, there have been questions about the extent to which the church should go in this last days. The seven spheres of influence are ways through which man can be influenced and some circles believe that the church has a role to play in determining the landscape of these spheres while some others believe that the church's role is simply to preach the gospel and disciple men. If you have followed this series, you would have seen how the situation in the middle East moved from war over land and supremacy of tribes to supremacy of religion. Now, let me drive it deeper. Judaism, Christianity and Islam all claim to be the heir of Abraham who is one that the entire region belongs to. The Jews believe that a messiah will come and declare them to be the rightful heir and wipe out the other tribes. That messiah is Jesus Christ, but they do not believe Him because of the church age that Jesus added to the calendar. I give glory to God for the way He led us in the year 2019. It was indeed a spectacular one that furthered the counsel of the LORD in the earth. I particularly was excited at the opportunities the year brought to the body of Christ. A major calling I have is to watch the events happening on earth and tie them with prophecies about the last days. I consider this assignment a huge one because of the nature of the last days.
