Understanding The Beast System (Part 1)

The last days has a lot of drama. A lot of things are being said that looks so bizarre and utterly nonsensical. Today, there is a lot of buzz about the mark of the beast, artificial intelligence, biotechnology and the end of the world.

The goal of this series (my first series in a long while) is to enlighten you about what is really going on in the world and help you to take the proper posture about it. Much more than that, it is also important for christians living before rapture and tribulation to understand to shape of things so as not to fall into the same trap that the dragon is setting for the last days.

The bible paints the last days as a sword that has two very sharp edges. Two sets of events will be happening that will be in direct clash against themselves. These events cannot be prayed away. They are to be lived through.

These two events are captured in Revelations 12 and 13.

The first event is the training and deployment of a special set of people from the church. Revelation 12 refers to them as the Manchild- a child that was born matured that would rule the world with a rod of iron as against the rule of the dragon. They are popularly known as the army of the LORD. If you're a reader of this blog, you would know that I am not as excited about the army as I am excited about being a part of the army.

The second set of events, captured in Revelation 13, brings to the scene a creature described as a beast, empowered by the dragon (the old serpent). This beast would get the whole world to worship him and whoever stands in his way would bow.

A lot of people believe that these events are meant to take place one after the other, but I have strong reasons to believe that they are happening together. Not just that they are happening together, these two events are currently taking place on the earth. It is not going to happen. It is already happening. The focus of this series is not to talk about the Army, but about the beast. Who is the beast? What will the beast do? How will the beast take over the earth?

It will be an interesting ride, like most of my series. Ensure that you pray for me for insight as I press into it.
