This times are heated times and for the church, it is paramount for the ecclesia of Christ to recognize her role in the times. The church is the body of believers saddled with the responsibility to reach others with the gospel. In recent times, there have been questions about the extent to which the church should go in this last days. The seven spheres of influence are ways through which man can be influenced and some circles believe that the church has a role to play in determining the landscape of these spheres while some others believe that the church's role is simply to preach the gospel and disciple men. One sphere of influence that has been debated in several quarters is the government. I have been seeing some posts by believers that the Netflix's Gay Jesus does not matter and doesn't mean anything; it won't affect us. 'Jesus won't be affected.' 'Netflix is too small'. For God's sake! When are we going to learn?!!! We are always denying issues that affects us and keep up with our church programs as if we are not influenced by the spheres of influences. The Jewish new year starts in few hours from this post. They don't follow the Roman calendar of January-December. Today is their first day of the year. They call it Rosh Hashanah, literally meaning the "head [of] the year". The biblical name for this holiday is Yom Teruah, literally "day of shouting or blasting". It is the first of the Jewish High Holy Days. Christians don't celebrate these days in their literal form. We have the tangibility of these days in Christ. Those days, however point to some dimensions in Christ that you should pay attention to. So, what does God want us to pay attention to as the Jews celebrate Rosh Hashanah?
