Mordecai Company (Part 3)

Mordecai had a role of siting at the gate of the king. In those times, the people who sit at the gate are men considered to be noble. They get a lot of information because they can see what and who is entering the palace of the king. This was the position where Mordecai occupied in those times and that was why he could hear f the plot to kill the king.

Mordecai made sure that Esther had about the plot who inturn reported to the king. In this, he showed a great loyalty and committment to the king as a gatekeeper. A gatekeeper is a custodian of several secrets and stories. They can be the source of rumors in a town and sometimes judge matters brought to them.

Today, the Mordecai company represents a prophetic people who can see what is about to happen in a territory and be able to alert those with the access to make adequate preparatioons to avert an impending danger. We need the relationship between the prophet and the king in this time to be able to ward off the enemy and stay sane.

Severally, we have seen policies come out of the government that didn't favour the people. There are several streams of the prophetic oil, but the one that Mordecai carried is the one that knows what is about to happen and can affect a territiory or a people. Prophets need to understand that God is concerned about the situation of their territory.

For example, are we aware that God is concerned about that state of education in Nigeria? Do we think that God has infomration He wants tp share with us on the solutions to this matter? The relationship between Mordecai and Queen Esther sowed how the prophetic can help establish righteousness in the market place.

Prophets with access to those in the king's court have used this access to enrich themselves alone. This was not the patern with Mordecai. He was concerened with the affiars of the state. We pray for alignment for our prophetic brothers and sisters around the world.

As we sit at the gate and get to know what is about to happen, do not use of rour own gain, but rather for the gain of the entire nation.

After an official meeting with executives of tacsfonOAU When I resumed for the second year in college, I saw a result of the previous year and it was 39%. I couldn't believe what I saw because it was definitely not commensurate with my efforts. I wept quite bitterly and promised God that He wouldn't see me around any of His assignments again.
