Word For The Week (Week 35): Exposition On Matthew 24 (Part 1)

Matthew 24:1-2 Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said to them, "Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not [one] stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down." Matthew 24 is one of the profound chapters in the gospels that gives an account of what to expect in the last days. The chapter also explains the arrangement of events that will lead to the close of this age. The chapter begins with the disciples of Jesus admiring the temple in Jerusalem, but to their surprise, Jesus told them that the temple would be destroyed so much that one stone will not be placed on another. To a Jew, this is a very offensive statement because they consider their temple a sacred building where God dwells. What they did not know is that Jesus was not just referring to the physical temple, but what referring to Himself. 70 years later, the temple was truly destroye...

Last Days: In Defence of the Prophetic

It is essential that we do the work of the ministry in such a way that no one will be able to blame us, however, after we do the needful, there will still be the Sanballats and Tobiahs. We have nothing to do to those ones than to leave them in the hand of God. The essence of this write is to answer questions that I have been asked and I know some others may also have. The prophetic movement was restored to the body of Christ about 40 years ago and it came with its excesses and inadequacies as played out and received by men. This made many to be put off just like every movement in the body of Christ has been out off by different groups. Every movement of God including the prophetic is a valid move and have a vital place in the body. The prophetic has been stretched in different quarters, but this does not invalidate the authenticity of the movement. Kenneth Hagin, whose memory is very blessed with me paid more attention to the prophetic ministry the Lord gave him after a...

Netflix's Gay Jesus

I have been seeing some posts by believers that the Netflix's Gay Jesus does not matter and doesn't mean anything; it won't affect us. 'Jesus won't be affected.' 'Netflix is too small'. For God's sake! When are we going to learn?!!! We are always denying issues that affects us and keep up with our church programs as if we are not influenced by the spheres of influences. Entertainment is a valid sphere of influence, but we keep denying it. We say it doesn't matter. Movies matters! They influence us! Movie is a way to influence man and this particular one is aimed at the church and intending church members. It may not affect you, but what about many thousands (if not millions) that have not read the bible in their life in the West and the fast rising 'woke' generation of thinkers in Africa. That's film will form a basis for thinking patterns of many. Some are just getting to know about Jesus and that film may be their first con...
