The Middle East: And The Indestructible Jews (Part 4)

Abraham gave birth to many sons, but Isaac is the promised child who inherited the covenant. Isaac gave birth to Esau (the father of Edom) and Jacob (who was renamed Israel). Israel went to captivity in Egypt for 430 years before they came out and were officially declared a nation in the days of Joshua, son of Nun. They went through a period of being led by Judges before they moved into the days of the kings. During the reign of the Kings, the nation of Israel was made up of 12 tribes who were the direct sons of Jacob. The nation expanded greatly as a result of the wars the Lord helped them to conquer especially in the days of David. It was the greatest in the entire region. The great kingdom however broke up during the days of the grandchild of David- Rehoboam. Rehoboam placed a heavy tax on the Israelites and 10 tribes rebelled and formed another nation. Rehoboam was left with 2 tribes- Judah and Benjamin. The Kingdom of Israel and Judah after the separation The 10 ...

The Middle East: And The Jesus Question (Part 3)

Abraham was the major focus of the middle East until Jesus Christ of Nazareth came on the scene. Jesus broke the barrier that held the promise of Abraham bound to the Jews alone and made it available to everyone that believes in His name. This was not the expectation of the Jews in their messiah. Their thought of the promised messiah was a person that would make them world power like in the days of David. The work of Jesus gave birth to a set of people referred to today as Christians and the religion known as Christianity. So, Jesus gave Christians a legal claim to the promise of Abraham and it has been evident in the history of the church that there is truly a covenant of Abraham functioning in the lives of Christians. This is much to the chagrin of the Jews who still hold on to the religion that came out of the old testament- Judaism. Jesus is considered by many Jews as simply a brother. At best, they regard Him as one of the persons who claimed to be the Messiah. They are sti...

The Middle East: And The Spiritual Significance (Part 2)

I have been able to establish that mankind started from the Middle East, but we have seen many things spring from other parts of the world, but till today the middle East still holds a significance that cannot be taken away from them and that is the origin of every major religion in the world today. Judaism, Christianity and Islam all have their roots in the region that is known today as highly volatile. The middle East is very volatile because of the scamper for land and supremacy, however the major issue in this last days is religious supremacy. The middle East has been divided along the lines of religion. Judaism exists alone in Israel, Christianity is in tits and bits in the nations while Islam takes the biggest chunk. Spiritual pilgrimage in the world today is found in the same region. The question you would want to ask is: why are they all particular about the middle East? Judaism is the oldest of the 3 religions and the Jews cannot let go of some locations because i...

The Middle East: And the Origin of Nations (Part 1)

Some years ago, I began to ask a question about the Middle East. The region in the world referred to as the Middle East has been at the center of global events that contributed immensely to the shape of the culture of the world today. The role of the region has been so influential that I began to ask for the reason behind it. What is so special about the Middle East? Why is there so much attention on the Middle East? That was 4 years ago. Like Daniel in the bible would say, God, in His infinite Grace and Mercy has answered my prayers and given me understanding. This first series of 2020 will focus on giving believers in Christ understanding of the role of the Middle East in the plans of God for the earth in this last days. Please, make sure you read the series accordingly. Don’t skip any part. The bible started with the story of Adam and his wife, Eve. They were living in a place called Eden, the garden of the Lord, but after they fell, they were sent out of the garden and began...
