Christians and Elections

Nigeria is all set for her general election in and it is important that believers know God's word about election. All through the scripture, we see that the LORD supports government. His form of government is theocracy. This is what we will have during the millennial reign of Jesus on the earth. However, the best form of government for the fallen man is democracy. In electing a new leader for a territory, God is always involved in matters that affect territories and so is the devil and wicked spirits in the heavenly places. God has a will that He seeks to be established however, He doesn't force a candidate on a people except they pray. Kenneth Hagin said that it is as if God is handicapped when we don't pray. Paul said we should always seek to understand what the will of the LORD is. Prophets have been making differing pronouncements about who will win. It is important to note that a prophet seeing a particular winner does not mean that that candidate is the will of

Word For The 5th Week Of 2019

Topic: Watch and Pray Text: Mark 13:33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. I will be sharing the last part of the LORD's instructions to me for 2019 this week and next. It is a very crucial instruction for every believer in this last days. It's simply reads 'watch and pray'. The instruction to watch and pray in the bible goes mostly for the coming back of Jesus Christ to take away the saints in what we know as rapture. It is very important that we get our theology right about rapture so that we can prepare adequately. Paul said to the Corinthian church that rapture will happen 'in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump...'. There have been controversies about what Paul is trying to pass across here with respect to whether unbelievers will see rapture take place or not and why he referred to the trumpet sound as last. Some have called it erroneous. Well, I believe what the Holy Spirit through Paul wrote he

The Amala Making Husband (Final Part)

I know my husband is very good with words. He certainly know how to calm my nerves, but I am really interested in what he has to say to defend himself tonight. I was on my feet. He looked into my eyes for some seconds and walked up to me. He pulled me to a chair and made me sit. Somehow, Lanre knows how to get me. I am not often moved by words, but ever since I met him, his words have a way of melting me and turn me into a baby in his arms. So, I have learned to keep quiet whenever he wants to pet me. I love hearing it. "When we came in, we saw you sleeping in a sitting position. You still had your work clothes on; your bag was beside you. I knew you must have had an hectic day. I had to even put a pillow on your neck so that you won't have pains when you wake up. I took John to the kitchen because I needed to make food ready for us. Whatever John thinks is not our concern." I frowned at that. "Really?" "I will take care of my wife irrespective of whoe

The Amala Making Husband (Part 1)

I couldn't believe my eyes when I entered the kitchen and I found my husband and a stranger. My husband was sweating in front of a pot full of Amala and the piston in his hand. My swung my head back and looked again. For real? What's going on? Before I could say anything, my husband spoke: "Babe, you're awake. How was work today?" I don't even know how to begin to answer that question. Work was beyond hectic. I was given a case to defend this lousy man who thinks he has the right to treat his neighbors anyhow. I really never wanted the case, but my boss thought I was the best to handle it. I know the man was wrong, but I am supposed to defend him. It was a big struggle. My spirit clearly stood against it, but I  have to choose between my job and my conscience. Losing the case may spell doom for my career. What do I do? I remember my husband telling me one night that we are supposed to live our life under the audience of one. God must be satisfied with

Scared to Love?

When you see someone begging for alms and your heart is touched and would like to help, but you really don't know if the beggar is sincere, you're scared to love! When you see a young boy (or girl) roaming the street during school hours and you are concerned about his been out of school, but you're not sure how his parents will react if you offer to help, you're scared to love! When you see someone in need of clothes and you know that you can meet this need, but you are not s ure how they will react if you offer them help, you're scared to love! When you have a tangible reason why you should not help a fellow human when you can, you're only scared to love! 1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

2019 Prophecies

Prophecy, according to the bible is not fore-telling, but the declaration of the mind of God for a person, people or place. the bible say a that prophecy is a testimony that Jesus is around so we are not surprised that we have a lot of prophecies today seeing that coming of Jesus is close. Some people have argued that God does not work with the time of man and so there is nothing like God giving the word for a year, month or day. That would be a wrong perception as God gave us time for us to be able to follow and walk Him. Time is essential for any man that wants to walk with God. Moses' Psalm 90 proved this beyond any doubt. From the old to the new testament, God always have an instruction at the beginning, so it is very true that the LORD has a word for us at the beginning of this year. I have compiled a list of prophecies from men of God with a track record of consistently true to the call of God upon their life. Pastor Olubi Johnson: Year of Government and Completion

The Reality of Sound Codes

The reality of the invisible world is gaining more ground and a good understanding of the word gives us an advantage over the natural life of man. The bible tells us about many things that exists in the spirit world and how we can harness them. One key thing that commands great influence is sound! Sound codes exist in the supernatural world and they have effect on spirit beings- God, Angels and demons. As a spirit being, sound codes affects us too and we must learn how to use sound codes to work the works of our God. From Psalms, there were many times the LORD told us to release sounds. Even the King Himself went up with a shout. Sounds can be produced from musical instruments and they all have realms that they penetrate when the right sound is released. The book of revelations profoundly shows that Angels responds to sound. Witches and wizards don't just beat drums and hum as a formality, they are releasing sounds. The sounds released in a place determines the kind of at

Spiritual Implication of ASUU Strike

Kenneth Hagin wrote in his book- The Art of Prayer how that our God would not intervene in a matter until he gets a person to pray. Prayer is what moves that hand of our God. Last year, there was a great wave of prayer that emanated from different campuses. Apart from the many groups we won't hear about, there were major gatherings in places to pray. The ASUU strike has, however kept all these from happening. ASUU strike always have a great effect on the incense that rises to God from Nigeria. The cloud of glory that is concentrated on many campuses is not engaged because the men have been scattered all over. In Nigeria presently, this is a very bad time to have our campuses shut. Elections are in few weeks and if we will see the hand of God, we must pray! Prayer plays a major role in the emergence of God's will anywhere. When I was a leader on campus, the weight of intercession always increase whenever there is a break. The Holy Spirit would nudge me to pray more tha

Word For The Week- 4th Week Of 2019

Topic: Righteousness (Part 2) Text: But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Heb 1:8 Last week, I shared with you that the LORD showed me how that the value of righteousness will increase this year. It will so obvious that the right path will attract many. Let us examine this in the light of the text for this week. Scepter is the sign of the authority of a king and the scepter of the kingdom of God is righteousness. As we approach the end of this age, the reality of the kingdom of God will increase as a result of the preaching of the gospel of the kingdom in all tribes, tongue and kindred. One of the ways that this will play out is the promotion of righteous ways. This means that the kingdom of God is closer to us than it used to be.  Righteousness is a gift from God and also a weapon with man. Through righteousness, we can bring down authorities that do not align wi

Word For The 2nd Week Of 2019

Topic: Righteousness Text: Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. I welcome you to the new year 2019. As young as the year may look, it has been a long journey already and for the next few weeks, I will be sharing some of the prophecies that the LORD laid on my heart with you. The LORD  is beginning a work of restoration in the earth in our days. He will restore righteousness and justice in the earth again as the beginning of His restoration process. Righteousness and justice are the pillars of the earth and when they are put of course, the earth experiences imbalances. The LORD shared with me that he is restoring righteousness back in the land. Hitherto, righteous ways do not seem to be a wise path to follow, so corruption has eaten deep into the fibre of our society. But now, righteous ways will be obvious as the only way to success. Corruption will no longer be the way to success. Structures that thrive on corrupt practices will not bring

2018: Prophetic For Nigeria?

The year 2018 started on a very dark note for the nation as attacks by Fulani herdsmen started on the very first day of the year and it continued for virtually the entire year. The year was full of killings in several parts of the nation. The ones that could be ascribed to Fulani terrorists in the North Central were ascribed to them while others were simply accredited to bandits. Boko Haram and ISWAP in the North East didn't stop their evil acts. The year also recorded several natural disasters in the South South and many evil occurences that claimed lives and properties in the South West. A very significant one was tanker explosion that happened in Lagos that took away over 100 vehicles. Oil tanker Explosion in Lagos These are the many sorrows that hit the land beyond the rivers of Ethiopia and made us to look up to God as our only help. 2018 shifted many things in Nigeria as the scriptures prophesied it that Godliness and sin will grow into their highest points be

My Wedding Invitation- Final Part

"I know you're angry which is understandable. But I want you to know that I don't have a hand in this". I wanted to cut in, but I couldn't look into her face after the smile I saw the other time. If I won't implicate myself here, I must control the left side of my brain o. "Maybe I should have changed my Facebook password since I lost my phone. The person must have logged in through my phone, but what still baffles me is what the person is aiming at? What does he want to gain from troubling us this much?" I swallowed saliva. Did she say us? Her voice was so different from the one I had been hearing since morning. It was so soothing that it melted my heart. The anger I was forming evaporated and sweat started gathering on my nose. Then she continued "I'm sorry for all I said in the morning. I won't sue your ass, she chuckled". I wanted to steal a look at the chuckling face, but I knew she would notice, so I kept my straight face.

My Wedding Invitation (Part 4)

Pastor knows that she didn't do it? What's going on? Is this some form of match making or what? I tried to figure out what was going on in my mind, but I couldn't just put this puzzle together. I looked at her. She sat back very calmly. I couldn't help but notice the beauty that seems to have returned to her face after the squabble we had. If she is truly innocent, then it must be a very rude shock to her too. Who would be setting up this beauty on a Sunday morning? Who could possibly do this? Something is definitely going on. I was almost admiring her when I remembered that I'm supposed to be angry at her. All the while, pastor kept on pressing his phone and checking out something on his laptop. Then she turned to me and said "Can I see the picture again?" I wanted to misbehave, but Pastor's eye shifted to me and I handled my phone to her. She kept on checking as if she is looking for something under the microscope. Then she said "I don&#

My Wedding Invitation (Part 3)

"You mean no one has called you to ask about the picture you posted?" "I didn't post any picture." "Is this not it on your Facebook page?" "I said my phone is missing. Don't you get it?" We kept on shouting at ourselves. I became so irritated that I charged towards her. She charged at me like almost like a lion, but we were restrained by the people who had gathered around. They held me very tightly and pulled me to the pastor's office. As I was going, I could hear her voice screaming that she would show me hell if I can't control my stupid temper. After about 30 minutes, we were seated in the pastor's office waiting for him. I was more calm, but the sight of her annoyed me. Then she made a call. "Hello, I think I have to drop the case I'm handling presently. I have a case I want to take on right now. I want to sue one stupid guy in my church". Ghen ghen, I stood up and replied her: "Shuu! You want to

My Wedding Invitation (Part 2)

I don't know if this is meant to be a blackmail or she is walking by faith. Faith? That must be a joke. A big joke sef. I needed to act very fast. She is very smart to have chosen Saturday night so that the news will spread well in church the following day. I thought of how she would face me in church. I removed myself from the Facebook tag and sent a message to some people to alert them of the fraud. And I had to call my parents too, but I know a call cannot solve this. My first point of call was my Pastor's house. His wife opened the door for me with her ever emotionless face. She is like Lucy in Harry Potter. You can never see anything other than calmness on her face. What kind of trouble is this on a Sunday morning! The first statement that came out of my mouth immediately I saw my pastor was "pastor, this is blackmail. I don't even have her phone number". My pastor calmed me down and told me that he will call the lady to delete the post. Since I join

My Wedding Invitation (Part 1)

I thought it was my alarm that was ringing until I checked my wall clock and saw 4:28am. Could that be a call? Who could that be? I had switched off my phone the previous night to preserve the low battery that was on it, but I switched it back on around 2am when I woke up and saw that power has been restored. I picked my phone and saw 37 missed calls and 2 messages. My heart beat immediately collected a baton and began to race. I mumbled tongues under my breathe as I checked the missed calls. Different numbers; my parents, siblings, pastors, friends. What's happening? I checked the messages and I became lost. "Olanrewaju, what is going on? Your Dad just saw your wedding invitation on Facebook", "Lanre, what is this on your Facebook page? You're getting married?" The first was from Mum while the second was my Pastor's. I adjusted myself and read the messages again. My wedding invitation? I switched on my data and WhatsApp messages poured in- &quo

Movie Review: Land of Fury!

I just finished seeing my first movie of 2019- Land of Fury. A friend gave me on the first day of the year. At first, when I saw the direction of the movie, I felt this is just trivializing the torments that the Chibok girls are going through in the hands of the Boko Haram as no movie can fully capture the ordeals of those girls. I mean no movie! As I continued with the movie, I began to see some of what you would call the 'movie tricks' when the school teacher that was abducted and killed, resurrected. My trajectory, however, began to change as I saw that the movie wasn't trying to portray the ordeals of the abducted girls, but was showing us the way out- Prayer. The social media is full of calls for less prayers and more actions when it comes to nation development. I have vehemently stood against this school of thought and many have seen me as unrealistic. Prayer, to me, is being realistic! Let me give some details about the abduction of the Chibok girls. It hap

2018: A Prophetic Year?

A significant prophecy about the end time is that nations will be shaken so much that things that have existed will lose their place, the strength of nations will be destroyed and new things will be established as we move towards the appearing of our LORD, Jesus and the taking away of the church from the earth. This was prophesied by Joel, Haggai and the LORD, Jesus Himself. This shaking is as a result of the increasing fires in the earth which is a direct implication of the intercession of the saints. The earth is currently being heated by the prayers of the saints. You would recall that prayers started back at the white house in the current administration after the 8 dark years reign of Obama. President Trump has, severally brought ministers of God into the government building to lead prayers. Also, there were several prayer gatherings in many countries of the world- Washington DC, USA (which plays a significnt role in the governmental authority that rules the world right n
