Kenneth Hagin wrote in his book- The Art of Prayer how that our God would not intervene in a matter until he gets a person to pray. Prayer is what moves that hand of our God. Last year, there was a great wave of prayer that emanated from different campuses. Apart from the many groups we won't hear about, there were major gatherings in places to pray.
The ASUU strike has, however kept all these from happening. ASUU strike always have a great effect on the incense that rises to God from Nigeria. The cloud of glory that is concentrated on many campuses is not engaged because the men have been scattered all over.
In Nigeria presently, this is a very bad time to have our campuses shut. Elections are in few weeks and if we will see the hand of God, we must pray! Prayer plays a major role in the emergence of God's will anywhere.
When I was a leader on campus, the weight of intercession always increase whenever there is a break. The Holy Spirit would nudge me to pray more than I would normally do. It is because the irons that are meant to sharpen each other have been separated and very few have the kind of atmosphere that exists on campus in their home church.
Yes, there will be many who will make good use of the strike and grow in God, but majority will not have that testimony. The impact of the 6 months strike of 2013 is still very evident in my life, but that was the very same strike that marred many students' life
ASUU is on strike. Schools have been closed. ASUP is also on strike. This is a plot by the enemy to reduce the incense so that he can influence the outcome of the election. I urge you to pray.
Pray that ASUU and ASUP strike be called off.
Pray that the hand of intercessors will be strong.
Pray that God will raise men everywhere to pray.
Don't hold back, pray!
