Movie Review: Land of Fury!

I just finished seeing my first movie of 2019- Land of Fury. A friend gave me on the first day of the year. At first, when I saw the direction of the movie, I felt this is just trivializing the torments that the Chibok girls are going through in the hands of the Boko Haram as no movie can fully capture the ordeals of those girls. I mean no movie!

As I continued with the movie, I began to see some of what you would call the 'movie tricks' when the school teacher that was abducted and killed, resurrected. My trajectory, however, began to change as I saw that the movie wasn't trying to portray the ordeals of the abducted girls, but was showing us the way out- Prayer.

The social media is full of calls for less prayers and more actions when it comes to nation development. I have vehemently stood against this school of thought and many have seen me as unrealistic. Prayer, to me, is being realistic!

Let me give some details about the abduction of the Chibok girls. It happened on the night of April 14 into April 15, 2014. This day was the beginning of a unique sign in the sky. The blood mood tetrad started on this very day! If you have been following world events in relation to blood moons, you will know that this is no coincidence.

Wait. I'm a believer. I'm not led by the appearance of blood moons, but the guy that wants to engage in evil activities needs it. He works with it. He uses it. It is called divination! Boko Haram didn't just pick that night, rather, they used that night and the event shook the entire world. April 15, 2014 wasn't just any other day. It also coincided with Passover celebration in Israel. The bible says that the blood moons signify a season called the 'last days'.

A similar occurrence almost happened in the bible when Haman picked a date for the execution of Mordecai and the Jews. Haman couldn't just do it on any day, he had to engage divination to get it right. Mordecai, Esther and the Jews stood in prayers and fasting. It was this priesthood that stopped Haman.

My point is this: it's almost 5 years since the chibok girls were abducted. If we will have full victory over this incidence, we must stand in our priestly office. Land of Fury movie pictured this very well. The parents, teachers, students and the government all agreed on prayers. We are yet to see a major denomination organize a meeting exclusively for these girls.

When Peter was arrested, the church didn't strategize his release or organize protests. They prayed! Prayers still work!

During the sojourn of Lamurudu in Egypt, what was going on in Egypt at that time was similar to what happened in Genesis 6:1-2 where demonic entities found a way to reproduce themselves in women to establish a race of beings that were not fully humans.
