Topic: Watch and Pray
Text: Mark 13:33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
I will be sharing the last part of the LORD's instructions to me for 2019 this week and next. It is a very crucial instruction for every believer in this last days. It's simply reads 'watch and pray'.
The instruction to watch and pray in the bible goes mostly for the coming back of Jesus Christ to take away the saints in what we know as rapture. It is very important that we get our theology right about rapture so that we can prepare adequately.
Paul said to the Corinthian church that rapture will happen 'in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump...'. There have been controversies about what Paul is trying to pass across here with respect to whether unbelievers will see rapture take place or not and why he referred to the trumpet sound as last. Some have called it erroneous.
Well, I believe what the Holy Spirit through Paul wrote here. Rapture is truly the call of the last trumpet which means that there will be other trumpet sounds before the last one. This is why Jesus warned us to watch and pray.
The initial trumpets sounds will not be physical as it will take a man who watches and prays to be able to discern what the signs are. Jesus never wanted us to be in dark about when He will return. He gave many signs that will show us when He will return, but we often ignore them.
A watcher must stay with the word to be able to identify the things that the LORD is putting on the earth to announce His coming. Simply, a watcher watches. Study the bible prophecies about the end times and place side by side with world events and you will be shocked at how much prophecies have been fulfilled and how much time we have left.
The coming of Jesus is closer than we think.
I urge you to be diligent in watching and praying. The LORD does not want us to be in the dark about His coming.
Have a great week
