Rick Joyner |
During the year 2018, Rick Joyner did an extensive study on the book of revelations. The book is one of the least understood books of the bible and the reason is because it is sealed. I wrote about it earlier; you can read it here The importance of this book to us at this time cannot be overemphasized.
I have compiled some of the lessons I learned from the series and brought them to you:
Heaven
Heaven is a place and not an abstract analogy or a literary expression. There is a tangible place called heaven and it is somewhere the mind cannot figure out. The place is very huge so much that the mind cannot begin to try to imagine how big it is. The size of the earth is nothing compared to what heaven looks like. This is why the word of the Lord will surely come to pass because there is no force on the earth that can stand against the counsel of heaven. No matter the size of the evil on this earth, victory is certain. The power that backs a believer is beyond all that the world military can pull together.
Worship
God's Work
On the earth, the devil and dark spirits are doing a lot of works leading to death, however our God is in charge of this earth and our focus must not shift from what God is doing on the earth to what the devil is doing or what man is doing. Many a time, we shift our focus from what God is doing and begin to pray and concentrate on what the devil is doing. As much as we should not neglect the advances of the devil (bible says we should resist him), we must not begin to look out for the devil and the things he is doing. Our focus must remain on God. He is still in charge. The kingdom of God is fully established in heaven, but it is not in full operations on the earth which means that we still have a measure of darkness in operation on the earth. This can be so much that we begin to behold it and when we behold darkness, we begin to take up it evil nature.
New Earth
The new earth will be ruled by Jesus for 1,000 years and the assignment of Jesus and the saints that return with Him will be to restore the earth to its original form in Genesis 1:1. Jesus and the church is (we are jointed) involved in the process of redemption right now (Jesus being the saviour and the church being His body), but the 1,000 years will be for restoration of the earth to what God created in the beginning. This assignment will be a process and not an event and the process will be for 1,000 years.
