Word of The Lord About Sokoto State, Nigeria

While I have been engrossed with the situation in the middle East, the Lord turned my attention towards a state in Nigeria- Sokoto State. I have written a series that involves Sokoto State- The Quest of Usman Dan Fodio and I explained a lot about the role that the location has played in the shaping of Nigeria's experiences in the last 200 years.

It was a surprise when I had a vision where I saw a woman collect the microphone in a meeting where I saw many believers. She cried out for people to rise up and pray for Sokoto state. She said 'why is the oil not refined in this land?' 'Pray for Sokoto state', she shouted.

I had this vision twice in the same night. Now, oil is one of the liquids that is used to represent the Holy Spirit in the bible. It is used to represent the presence of the anointing upon a person for an assignment or establish an altar for the Lord. The first place oil appeared in the bible was where Jacob slept in Bethel and had the vision of angels ascending and descending on a ladder.

Jacob described the place like this: 'How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.' Now, I am not saying that Sokoto is heaven, but it not gainsay that Sokoto is a gate through which you can access some dimensions in the Spirit realm. This explains some of the encounters and dimensions that Usman Dan Fodio had.

The essence of the write is for believers to pray for the presence of God to be established in a tangible ,measure in the state. After the vision of Jacob, he raised a altar for the Lord and poured oil which signifies the presence of the Holy Spirit. The woman in visions asked 'why is oil not refined in this land?' We need to pray for that land for the presence of the Lord to have a tangible presence there.

Now is the time to pray.
