Diary of a Corper 21

24th May
-20th Day on Camp
I woke up with shivers because i have a witness in my heart that i will be serving in the central executive of NCCF.

Event of last night made a lot of people wake up late(...am sure some people drank alcohol for the first time in their life last night). One of the key aspects of a christian that will suffer seriously if one isn't careful is quiet time. Joel 2 was the word for the day.

Service was really glorious as the NYSC officials came in their numbers and even rendered a special number. A professor, who is also a patron of NCCF preached on the theme of the camp program(...the theme is "A call to service: a
call to abide"). The man was very practical and real.

At the end of the service, 12 men and a leader were called out as executives. It was really awesome. The picture is that of the apostles of the lamb. I am priviledged to be among the 12(...as the publicity secretary). We will live together, eat together to strenghten our love.

As a result of this, i was told that my place of primary assignment will be Jos(Jos North local government); a place many are lobbying to get.

Psalms 84:11   For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

If all you have is God, you have everything you need.

We are leaving camp tomorrow and most are all anxious to know where we will be posted to.

Philippians  4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Many people have many plans about this service year, but before anyone can be used of God, his plans must be dead.

Work has started at NCCF already. I have to be at the tent as early as 04:00am.

Can You See Islam Imploding?

Islam has taken a major stage in the world today, with many western nations trying to find their feet in the face of millions of immigrants from Islamic nations. Several European countries are losing their own culture as the Islamic wave is taking over their lands already. While in Africa, nations are embroiled in Islam related conflicts that is claiming lives in millions. In many places, Muslims have become citizens and are beginning to contest for political offices. The current mayor of London is a Muslim. Same with the current mayor of New York. Scotland already had a Muslim PM. You see, there is no issue with a Muslim becoming a political leader other than the fact that true Muslims are territorial; their religion teaches them that the religion of the ruler is the religion of the land. Is this Islamophobia? Wait. What is Islamophobia? Why should anyone be Islamophobic? Is it because terrorists are Muslims? Or because Muslims threaten to slaughter anyone who slanders their religion?...

Prophetic Perspective: Israel vs Iran

The middle east situation between Israel and Palestine is a very complex one that can be viewed from many sides. Whichever perspective you choose, there will always be an unresolved issue. It is exactly a year that Hamas, a terrorist group in Palestine, dealt the biggest blow ever to the Israeli state, killing over 1000 Jews and abducting about 251. It sent a shock wave round the world. The October 7, 2023 attacks kick-started a war that has escalated to involve Lebanon, Syria, Qatar and Iran. Israel has gone all out attacking Palestine in a wave that many world leaders have been cautioning them to consider the civilians. ORIGIN OF THE WAR The origin of the war in the middle east can be traced back to the 1920s when Britain, in conjunction with the Arabs defeated the Ottoman military in Jerusalem and took the city as a colony of the British royalty.  It wasn't long before the British decided to release the land to the Arabs that fought alongside them. But, there was another set of ...

Seven Years In Christ- Friends

After an official meeting with executives of tacsfonOAU When I resumed for the second year in college, I saw a result of the previous year and it was 39%. I couldn't believe what I saw because it was definitely not commensurate with my efforts. I wept quite bitterly and promised God that He wouldn't see me around any of His assignments again. I just joined a subgroup in my fellowship and I expected that my results will be better because of the several testimonies that I have heard from people. As I was weeping, God directed three friends to visit the spot where I was weeping. It was a miracle that I wouldn't forget. They consoled me and encouraged me to take a step of checking the result with the coordinator of the course. Eventually, my result was changed to 62%. This is one of the many times that the Lord has used brothers and sisters around me to stabilize me and keep me in line with His purpose. The role they have played in my last 7 years cannot be written in ...
