Diary of a Corper 12

15th May- 11th Day on Camp

I opened my eyes around 03:00 and i heard the sounds of a heavy rain. I quickly prayed that the rain will last till about 06:00 so that we can sleep till then, but the rain had another agenda. It stopped before 04:00 and a very cold parade started by 05:00. The air was so pregnant with cold that it became visible like the air of the temperate region.

Ever since the volunteers for matching were selected, the soldiers have been abusing the remaining members of the group. I couldn't take it again this morning, so when the cultural dancers needed drummers, i gladly joined them.

Currently, my bucket is missing, but am still searching for it. I choose not to be angry with my roommates like others have been doing(...we are over 100 in the room).

Tomorrow will be quite free because there will be no lecture. I keep buying books. Got 3 more-"There were two trees in the garden", "Visions of harvest" and "Apostolic ministry"(...all by Rick Joyner) and i was given one freely which makes all the books i av got on camp to be 10(...maybe i will stop now; am hungry!).

At cultural dance training, the leader is a barrister from Ilesa. So much to learn from her-despite the unseriousness of the members, she handled us strictly and made us do what was right and not what we wanted.

NCCF keep refreshing me each night.

Psalms  34:5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

I retired to my bed after a fulfilled day listening to Gladys Knight.

Prophetic Perspective: Israel vs Iran

The middle east situation between Israel and Palestine is a very complex one that can be viewed from many sides. Whichever perspective you choose, there will always be an unresolved issue. It is exactly a year that Hamas, a terrorist group in Palestine, dealt the biggest blow ever to the Israeli state, killing over 1000 Jews and abducting about 251. It sent a shock wave round the world. The October 7, 2023 attacks kick-started a war that has escalated to involve Lebanon, Syria, Qatar and Iran. Israel has gone all out attacking Palestine in a wave that many world leaders have been cautioning them to consider the civilians. ORIGIN OF THE WAR The origin of the war in the middle east can be traced back to the 1920s when Britain, in conjunction with the Arabs defeated the Ottoman military in Jerusalem and took the city as a colony of the British royalty.  It wasn't long before the British decided to release the land to the Arabs that fought alongside them. But, there was another set of ...

Seven Years In Christ- Friends

After an official meeting with executives of tacsfonOAU When I resumed for the second year in college, I saw a result of the previous year and it was 39%. I couldn't believe what I saw because it was definitely not commensurate with my efforts. I wept quite bitterly and promised God that He wouldn't see me around any of His assignments again. I just joined a subgroup in my fellowship and I expected that my results will be better because of the several testimonies that I have heard from people. As I was weeping, God directed three friends to visit the spot where I was weeping. It was a miracle that I wouldn't forget. They consoled me and encouraged me to take a step of checking the result with the coordinator of the course. Eventually, my result was changed to 62%. This is one of the many times that the Lord has used brothers and sisters around me to stabilize me and keep me in line with His purpose. The role they have played in my last 7 years cannot be written in ...

Can You See Islam Imploding?

Islam has taken a major stage in the world today, with many western nations trying to find their feet in the face of millions of immigrants from Islamic nations. Several European countries are losing their own culture as the Islamic wave is taking over their lands already. While in Africa, nations are embroiled in Islam related conflicts that is claiming lives in millions. In many places, Muslims have become citizens and are beginning to contest for political offices. The current mayor of London is a Muslim. Same with the current mayor of New York. Scotland already had a Muslim PM. You see, there is no issue with a Muslim becoming a political leader other than the fact that true Muslims are territorial; their religion teaches them that the religion of the ruler is the religion of the land. Is this Islamophobia? Wait. What is Islamophobia? Why should anyone be Islamophobic? Is it because terrorists are Muslims? Or because Muslims threaten to slaughter anyone who slanders their religion?...
