22nd May-18th Day on Camp
The weather of Plateau state is unique among other states, but i will say the weather is very strange(...someone even said confused). The weather changes very often. If the sun is shinning brightly now, it can change into a storm in less than a minutes. The rain comes as if it is hiding behind the mountains. It is always unannounced. To worsen the case, the camp is surrounded by mountains which makes the camp vulnerable to very cold winds of the mountains.
We were punished during morning parade again because we were murmuring when the camp commandant wanted to speak.
There are two categories of soldiers on camp. The platoon instructors(...they hold fat sticks) and security officers(...they are always with their guns).
The commandant told us that some cult members on camp are planning to attack themselves. He said "I am ready to kill anyone who threathens another person's life and if you don't believe me, i will clear your doubt"
"I will clear your doubt" or "Are you doubting" is a common language among soldiers(...i attended a para-military secondary school). They use it when their subject is not obeying their words.
Many attimes, the Holy Spirit makes the same statement about us when we don't believe His words.
John 6:28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? 6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
Cultural Night took place today. Several languages were spoken(...there were 3 different languages alone from Plateau State). After which the platoons exhibited a culture(...my platoon exhibited Edo culture).
As much as we cherish our cultures, we must know that their is no culture that perfectly align with the scriptures. So, we must seive our beliefs through the Word of God. I preach the culture of Christ.
Several tribes were on display today and everyone identified with one(...i identified with Oyo. Oyo and Imo had the loudest applaud). Do you know that there are 12 tribes in Israel and we all belong to at least one?
NCCF had family meeting today. Altogether, i have 14 new books.
