Your Love Story (Part 4): Building Alone

Firesola was still supposed to be feeding on breast milk, but her mother was no longer available for her. She was a constant source of joy to me. She hardly cry; always smiling. She is the exact copy of her mother. Every time I looked into her face, I would promise myself that whatever it takes, I’m getting Seun back! I will not give up on my marriage. Church members kept on asking questions. Those with genuine concerns and those that wanted information to have a good gist with their friends. I have been around for a while so I know how church people can be.

Whatever demon entered Seun entered under my watch will not win this. I’m going to fight till this battle is won and bring Seun back home. So, I ignored the gossips. Seun’s friends were very supportive. They called to tell me that they were not in support of what Seun is doing. They have tried speaking with her, but she won’t listen. I told them to keep her in their prayers. My Pastor and his wife didn’t stay away. They gave all the spiritual and moral support at their disposal. They even offered to take Firesola in anytime I needed to go somewhere.

I got help from all angles except Seun’s parents. I went visiting 3 weeks after Seun left and asked them to keep Firesola for the weekend because of a function I needed to attend out of town. Seun’s mum did a terrible justice to my morale. She called me weak and irresponsible for allowing Seun to travel and leave a 9 months old child behind. Her husband tried to caution her, but she didn’t give in to his cautions. I left with Firesola angrily.

To be fair, Mrs Ogundeji has never liked me and she doesn’t hide it. She wanted Seun to marry someone else, but she didn’t have her way and that has always made her feel nauseated about me. To be frank, I don’t know if I like her either.  Seun has always encouraged me that her mum will come around, but it is that same Seun that has now exposed me to this ridicule.

I continued to grow in love with Firesola and cherish her. Her growth encouraged me and made me not to think too much about the opportunity cost of having to stay at home always. Her one year birthday was very interesting. A lot of people came to celebrate and I took a lot of pictures. I know that her next birthday, Seun will be around to celebrate with her. I was sure. I kept on declaring God’s word about my marriage until one day. My faith of having Seun back with us suffered a great hit. I got a call from one of her friends. Seun is in town! It’s barely four months since she left. The course she went for is six months. Why is she back?

Oranmiyan (Part 3: Origin of Yoruba)

Our journey will begin by identifying who the Yoruba people are. From the stories and relics of the children of the tribe, it is obvious that the projenitors of the tribe were deeply rooted in sorcery. Especially those who constitute the royal families. Their blood lines is soaked in idolatry, divination and sorcery. They know how to access principalities and powers and learn their worship modes. There are many stories about the origin of the Yoruba race. The Yoruba race has two major stories about their origin. One is supernatural. The other is natural The supernatural or divine one said that the supreme being, God, sent a god- Obatala to come and create the earth, but he got drunk and God had to send another god- Oduduwa. This is what some people hold. This school of thought has several loopholes chief of which is that Oduduwa entered Ile Ife in 11AD, but Ife Arts, according to carbon dating goes way back as 500BC which means that there was life in Ile Ife before Oduduwa came in. Oranmiyan (Part 4: Lamurudu vs Oduduwa)

After being forced out of his land, Lamurudu settled in Egypt for some time where he deepened his knowledge in sorcery. He learned several patterns of rituals which still exists in some parts of Ijebu today. At that time, the Egyptians have developed so well in the worship of their gods who were originally men. The concept of gods begins with a man encountering a demonic prince who is looking for obeisance from men. These princes have the same goal as Lucifer. Once they begin to get attention from a man, the man begins to take up their (dark) nature because it is a law in the spirit realm that whatever you behold, you become. The consecration of these men to the worship of the princes led to the reproduction of the abilities and characteristics of the prince in the man, so the man becomes great among other men. Most of these men takes up the name of the prince that they worship such that when the man dies, you can keep calling his name and the prince responds to your request thereby es

Oranmiyan (Part 5: The gods of Egypt)

During the sojourn of Lamurudu in Egypt, what was going on in Egypt at that time was similar to what happened in Genesis 6:1-2 where demonic entities found a way to reproduce themselves in women to establish a race of beings that were not fully humans. These creatures were very big that they were called Giants. They had 6 fingers and toes and unusual strength. Bible refer to them as Nephilims which means mysterious beings who are large and strong. Some other meanings called them fallen ones. They had supernatural abilities and they preyed on full humans. The situation was like what was portrayed in Harry Potter that had pure bloods, half bloods, mud bloods and muggles. The pure bloods were the witches whose both parents are also witches, half blood is a witch with one parent as witch, mud blood has both parents as normal people and muggles are non witches. At that time in Genesis 6, the Nephilims had created another race on earth that paralleled the pure humans. This what why God sent
