Your Love Story (Part 6): Things Fall Apart

The next Sunday, I waited patiently till the end of the service to hear the outcome of Pastor’s meeting with Seun. After the service, I went to the Pastor’s office to wait for him. I met his wife there. She gave a very deep sigh when she saw me. ‘Mummy, have you met her?’ She could only nod. I noticed that she was cold. ‘Pastor will see you soon’. I have never seen my pastor’s wife in this state before. She never shows her emotions, but she couldn’t hide it this time. It must be bad!

Pastor came in some minutes later and he started with plenty encouraging words. I know the drill. I have been doing it since college days. You say all those words to prepare the ground for the bad news. In my mind, I just wanted him to skip all that part and move into the real information. He then said ‘Seun doesn’t want to come back to you’. All of the things he said after that statement didn’t enter my eardrum. I was lost in thoughts. He had to tap me to call me back to his office.

I woke up the next Saturday morning and went to Firesola’s room, which was just the next room to mine. I was surprised to see her already awake and smiling as usual. I was more surprised to see a bible in her hands. I can’t remember placing a bible in her cot the previous night; how did she get it? She handed the bible to me pointing at a part that she has opened. I looked at it and looked back into her face. Does this girl know what she is doing? Can she even read? This must be the LORD trying to get my attention. I had not opened my bible since I saw that scene in Seun’s office.

It is the 7th song of accent in the book of Psalms. The first verse was enough to get my faith back on track. Psalm 126:1 When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. My heart sank. I knew the LORD is not giving up yet. My marriage will still come back to normal. I looked at Firesola with wet eyes and she was handing me a cloth. Again. I was surprised. How old is this girl? What does she know?

That evening, Seun came home. I was sitting behind my laptop and Firesola was asleep. Seun opened the main entrance and stood at the door. I guess she doesn’t know what to expect. I was calm. ‘Good evening’. Her reply was short. She looked scared. ‘I came to pack my stuffs’. I could only nod. She went inside our room and I continued with what I was doing on my laptop. After some minutes, she came out with her box and moved straight towards the door. I was surprised. ‘Won’t you say hello to your daughter?’ I asked. She stopped and continued moving again. When she got to the door, I said ‘Seun, you still have a home here (I touched my heart)’. She looked into my face and simply said ‘Thank you’.

Oranmiyan (Part 3: Origin of Yoruba)

Our journey will begin by identifying who the Yoruba people are. From the stories and relics of the children of the tribe, it is obvious that the projenitors of the tribe were deeply rooted in sorcery. Especially those who constitute the royal families. Their blood lines is soaked in idolatry, divination and sorcery. They know how to access principalities and powers and learn their worship modes. There are many stories about the origin of the Yoruba race. The Yoruba race has two major stories about their origin. One is supernatural. The other is natural The supernatural or divine one said that the supreme being, God, sent a god- Obatala to come and create the earth, but he got drunk and God had to send another god- Oduduwa. This is what some people hold. This school of thought has several loopholes chief of which is that Oduduwa entered Ile Ife in 11AD, but Ife Arts, according to carbon dating goes way back as 500BC which means that there was life in Ile Ife before Oduduwa came in. Oranmiyan (Part 4: Lamurudu vs Oduduwa)

After being forced out of his land, Lamurudu settled in Egypt for some time where he deepened his knowledge in sorcery. He learned several patterns of rituals which still exists in some parts of Ijebu today. At that time, the Egyptians have developed so well in the worship of their gods who were originally men. The concept of gods begins with a man encountering a demonic prince who is looking for obeisance from men. These princes have the same goal as Lucifer. Once they begin to get attention from a man, the man begins to take up their (dark) nature because it is a law in the spirit realm that whatever you behold, you become. The consecration of these men to the worship of the princes led to the reproduction of the abilities and characteristics of the prince in the man, so the man becomes great among other men. Most of these men takes up the name of the prince that they worship such that when the man dies, you can keep calling his name and the prince responds to your request thereby es

Oranmiyan (Part 5: The gods of Egypt)

During the sojourn of Lamurudu in Egypt, what was going on in Egypt at that time was similar to what happened in Genesis 6:1-2 where demonic entities found a way to reproduce themselves in women to establish a race of beings that were not fully humans. These creatures were very big that they were called Giants. They had 6 fingers and toes and unusual strength. Bible refer to them as Nephilims which means mysterious beings who are large and strong. Some other meanings called them fallen ones. They had supernatural abilities and they preyed on full humans. The situation was like what was portrayed in Harry Potter that had pure bloods, half bloods, mud bloods and muggles. The pure bloods were the witches whose both parents are also witches, half blood is a witch with one parent as witch, mud blood has both parents as normal people and muggles are non witches. At that time in Genesis 6, the Nephilims had created another race on earth that paralleled the pure humans. This what why God sent
