Your Love Story (Final Part): Reckless Love

What I needed wasn’t more than that because by morning, my strength level didn’t just increase, I was wide awake for the first time in 7 weeks. My friends thought it’s a miracle. I knew it was love. They were very glad to have me back and I was happy to see them. Firesola skipped school to be with me. It was a very joyful reunion. I spoilt the mood when I asked for Seun. Only Firesola answered. ‘Dad, go get your girl’. We were not shocked. Firesola is a wonder. Pastor offered to organize a reconciliation meeting. But I said no. I want to meet my wife alone.

I went to the Ogundeji’s house after I was discharged from the hospital. Everyone left the living room immediately I arrived. Seun looked dejected. She dropped her face. ‘Darling, don’t drop your face. I came to get you. I have chosen you from the very beginning of creation. You are the very blossom that makes my garden radiate with glory. I choose to rejoice in you for I am unashamed to call you mine. Your shame, pains and wounds are all mine to bear. Do not be ashamed of coming back home. It’s your home. The place built by the LORD on the rock. No one would take your place in my heart and no act can snatch you away from me. You have been found, o pearl of Zion, come home!’

Give me the shame, I can bear it
Give me the pain, I can carry it
Show me the wounds, I will heal you.
All I need from you is
Come home

Seun’s tears were hot. I wiped it with my hands. ‘You will always be mine.’ Seun followed me home to meet a very ecstatic Firesola. I have not seen her this joyful before. She misses her mum. Two months later, I took Seun to the altar again. I am committed to this woman forever!

Is this not your love story?

Can You See Islam Imploding?

Islam has taken a major stage in the world today, with many western nations trying to find their feet in the face of millions of immigrants from Islamic nations. Several European countries are losing their own culture as the Islamic wave is taking over their lands already. While in Africa, nations are embroiled in Islam related conflicts that is claiming lives in millions. In many places, Muslims have become citizens and are beginning to contest for political offices. The current mayor of London is a Muslim. Same with the current mayor of New York. Scotland already had a Muslim PM. You see, there is no issue with a Muslim becoming a political leader other than the fact that true Muslims are territorial; their religion teaches them that the religion of the ruler is the religion of the land. Is this Islamophobia? Wait. What is Islamophobia? Why should anyone be Islamophobic? Is it because terrorists are Muslims? Or because Muslims threaten to slaughter anyone who slanders their religion?...

Prophetic Perspective: Israel vs Iran

The middle east situation between Israel and Palestine is a very complex one that can be viewed from many sides. Whichever perspective you choose, there will always be an unresolved issue. It is exactly a year that Hamas, a terrorist group in Palestine, dealt the biggest blow ever to the Israeli state, killing over 1000 Jews and abducting about 251. It sent a shock wave round the world. The October 7, 2023 attacks kick-started a war that has escalated to involve Lebanon, Syria, Qatar and Iran. Israel has gone all out attacking Palestine in a wave that many world leaders have been cautioning them to consider the civilians. ORIGIN OF THE WAR The origin of the war in the middle east can be traced back to the 1920s when Britain, in conjunction with the Arabs defeated the Ottoman military in Jerusalem and took the city as a colony of the British royalty.  It wasn't long before the British decided to release the land to the Arabs that fought alongside them. But, there was another set of ...

Seven Years In Christ- Friends

After an official meeting with executives of tacsfonOAU When I resumed for the second year in college, I saw a result of the previous year and it was 39%. I couldn't believe what I saw because it was definitely not commensurate with my efforts. I wept quite bitterly and promised God that He wouldn't see me around any of His assignments again. I just joined a subgroup in my fellowship and I expected that my results will be better because of the several testimonies that I have heard from people. As I was weeping, God directed three friends to visit the spot where I was weeping. It was a miracle that I wouldn't forget. They consoled me and encouraged me to take a step of checking the result with the coordinator of the course. Eventually, my result was changed to 62%. This is one of the many times that the Lord has used brothers and sisters around me to stabilize me and keep me in line with His purpose. The role they have played in my last 7 years cannot be written in ...
