Taxi Episode- Shameless Man

Inside a taxi today, a wonderful drama happened. A woman stopped the car and I thought she was going to join us inside the car, but instead she began to drag the cloth of the man that sat in front. She shouted in Yoruba "bami mu owo mi, oti jeun awin leemerin lai sanwo" (give me my money, you have eaten four times without paying).

Instead of saying words that would make the woman cool down, the man told the driver to move. I mean, he was completely shameless. At the end, the car moved without the man paying for the food he has eaten. Quietly observing from my seat, I laughed so hard.

Then, i meditated on the issue. Somehow, it is easier to dictate how to react to an issue when you're not involved.

One lesson I learnt while in Jos was that when we get angry and shout at people, we release evil. If the recipient, however didn't react back to the words aimed at him/her, the evil released is conquered. To do that is simply supernatural.

I mean it is supernatural to forgive. No one can do it without the help of the spirit. When we think of supernatural, it is not just the miracles, signs and wonders. Repentance is also supernatural. In fact, I will say it is a higher supernatural for us to have dominion over sin than for a blind eye to open.

The fruits of the Spirit budding out of our flesh is a "work" that is supernatural. Walking in cleanliness is a supernatural act and we must cherish and know it so as not to walk in duality.

In other news, when I dropped from the car, I saw a man (begging for alms) without one leg giving money to another man (also begging for alms) without any leg. This one is for selah

Prophetic Perspective: Israel vs Iran

The middle east situation between Israel and Palestine is a very complex one that can be viewed from many sides. Whichever perspective you choose, there will always be an unresolved issue. It is exactly a year that Hamas, a terrorist group in Palestine, dealt the biggest blow ever to the Israeli state, killing over 1000 Jews and abducting about 251. It sent a shock wave round the world. The October 7, 2023 attacks kick-started a war that has escalated to involve Lebanon, Syria, Qatar and Iran. Israel has gone all out attacking Palestine in a wave that many world leaders have been cautioning them to consider the civilians. ORIGIN OF THE WAR The origin of the war in the middle east can be traced back to the 1920s when Britain, in conjunction with the Arabs defeated the Ottoman military in Jerusalem and took the city as a colony of the British royalty.  It wasn't long before the British decided to release the land to the Arabs that fought alongside them. But, there was another set of ...

Can You See Islam Imploding?

Islam has taken a major stage in the world today, with many western nations trying to find their feet in the face of millions of immigrants from Islamic nations. Several European countries are losing their own culture as the Islamic wave is taking over their lands already. While in Africa, nations are embroiled in Islam related conflicts that is claiming lives in millions. In many places, Muslims have become citizens and are beginning to contest for political offices. The current mayor of London is a Muslim. Same with the current mayor of New York. Scotland already had a Muslim PM. You see, there is no issue with a Muslim becoming a political leader other than the fact that true Muslims are territorial; their religion teaches them that the religion of the ruler is the religion of the land. Is this Islamophobia? Wait. What is Islamophobia? Why should anyone be Islamophobic? Is it because terrorists are Muslims? Or because Muslims threaten to slaughter anyone who slanders their religion?...

Seven Years In Christ- Friends

After an official meeting with executives of tacsfonOAU When I resumed for the second year in college, I saw a result of the previous year and it was 39%. I couldn't believe what I saw because it was definitely not commensurate with my efforts. I wept quite bitterly and promised God that He wouldn't see me around any of His assignments again. I just joined a subgroup in my fellowship and I expected that my results will be better because of the several testimonies that I have heard from people. As I was weeping, God directed three friends to visit the spot where I was weeping. It was a miracle that I wouldn't forget. They consoled me and encouraged me to take a step of checking the result with the coordinator of the course. Eventually, my result was changed to 62%. This is one of the many times that the Lord has used brothers and sisters around me to stabilize me and keep me in line with His purpose. The role they have played in my last 7 years cannot be written in ...
