Last night, I saw a trailer with its tires up in the sky and many people around it. It was an accident and according to the driver of my taxi, nobody died. This evening, I heard the true story.
A taxi was involved in the accident. One of the passengers of the taxi allegedly reduced the fare of his trip by 10 naira and the driver would not agree, so they started arguing. The argument was so hot that it took the driver's attention completely and swerved into the mouth of a trailer that sent it completely away from the road. They, except a man all died. The man that survived came out with broken legs.
When someone shouts at another person, accuses someone wrongly or do anything that can make another person react in an angry manner, it is actually evil that is being directed to the person. We must be conscious of this. Rick Joyner explained it well in a book (There were two trees in the garden).
We must recognize what is been aimed at us or what is going on around us. The taxi issue was evil jumping about and no one could quench it till it overpowered them completely. If you're in a place and an argument is going on, be sensitive. Just one stray 10 naira was needed to conquer the evil in the taxi. It could have come out of the pocket of anyone in that taxi.
In some other news, the entrepreneurial skills around here is entering another level. I wanted to buy something this evening, but I didn't know the exact price and since I know that I have low bargaining power, I decided to ask for the material in two different places before buying it in the third.
The first man called it 1,200 and I said 800. He said the lowest price he can go is 1,000. I refused and left. The same thing happened in the second place. When I got to the third place. I met a young lady. I was already full of confidence because I now know that the price is 1,000.
When I asked her for the price, she said 1,600. My head rang. I told her that it is 1,000 and she asked me to pay. Wow! You mean you wanted to 'swallow' 600 from me just like that? She smiled and said 'Ema naa ni' (you will bargain it now).
Yes, I will bargain it, but 600 extra from a 1,000 material? That doesn't sound like integrity to me. Why not give the right price? Must we bargain to remove your greed first?
