Be Prepared!


"It is time to hear the word of God and the person that will share the word with us is Bro Lanre. Let us pray".

Bro Lanre sat down wondering if there is another bro Lanre in the subgroup meeting or was it that the subgroup head made a mistake? I mean how can bro Lanre be the one to share the word and bro Lanre is getting to know in less than a minute before the prayer starts.

There was no time for bro Lanre to express his shock or protest that he would not be able to take the session because he was not prepared. Bro Lanre was caught completely off guard and as he was still thinking, the prayer ended and everyone was looking at bro Lanre.

Bro Lanre is just few weeks old in the subgroup and he is being set up like this. It could have been dramatic, but thank God he read his bible in the morning, so he was able to share something.

You see, we must always be at alert to preach the word at every instance. Paul admonished Timothy to always be ready whether the time is favorable or not. There must be a word that is bubbling in your mind at every time. You must not be found without a word on your lips so that whenever opportunity to share the word comes, you will gladly take it.

Be instant in season and out of season!

During the sojourn of Lamurudu in Egypt, what was going on in Egypt at that time was similar to what happened in Genesis 6:1-2 where demonic entities found a way to reproduce themselves in women to establish a race of beings that were not fully humans. These creatures were very big that they were called Giants. They had 6 fingers and toes and unusual strength. Bible refer to them as Nephilims which means mysterious beings who are large and strong. Some other meanings called them fallen ones. They had supernatural abilities and they preyed on full humans. The situation was like what was portrayed in Harry Potter that had pure bloods, half bloods, mud bloods and muggles. The pure bloods were the witches whose both parents are also witches, half blood is a witch with one parent as witch, mud blood has both parents as normal people and muggles are non witches.
