Word For The Week: Lighting the Menorah



Text: Lev 24:2  Command the sons of Israel that they bring to you pure olive oil, beaten, for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually. 

Part of what the LORD is doing in this time is the outpouring of the seven spirits of God upon His last days army. The seven Spirits of God are pictured in the tabernacle of Moses as the Menorah in the Holy Place. The menorah is a lampstand that has seven openings where the light burns from. Isaiah reveals the dimensions of God that these seven Spirits carry.

Isa 11:2  And the Spirit of Jehovah shall rest on Him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Jehovah. These Spirits are heavy dimensions of God that will ensure that the last days harvest is brought into the fold. If we will fulfill God's plan for this last days, we cannot do things as usual. We have to be anointed for the supernatural.

These means that every believer ought to have the seven candles burning brightly in them so that we can walk in light- the seven fold dimension of light which must be burning continually. God instructed the Levites to ensure that these candles burn continually. There must not be a time where the lights will be dim or go out. It must always be oiled.

God is therefore, lighting the menorah upon the men as this will ensure that we walk in wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge and the fear of the LORD. Every Christian is supposed to have these 7 dimensions burning brightly within them. This can also be seen in the 10 virgins who had extra oil to see the groom. If our oil is low, our light will be dim. For some people, some candles are bright while some are low. This explains why a believer can be doing well in making decisions (Spirit of wisdom), but does not have reverence for the presence of God (Spirit of the fear of the LORD).

These 7 Spirits are to be alive and burning within us. The Psalmist says: Psa 18:28  For You will light my candle; Jehovah my God will make my darkness light. We need to ensure that the 7 candles are lighted within us. Take time to study and pray in line of each of the dimensions. Press the Olives for the oil to come out to keep your lamp burning. Understand their essence and pray that the candle is lighted within you.

In the coming weeks, we will highlight the seven Spirits of God and their function in the believer.

Seven Years In Christ- Friends

After an official meeting with executives of tacsfonOAU When I resumed for the second year in college, I saw a result of the previous year and it was 39%. I couldn't believe what I saw because it was definitely not commensurate with my efforts. I wept quite bitterly and promised God that He wouldn't see me around any of His assignments again. I just joined a subgroup in my fellowship and I expected that my results will be better because of the several testimonies that I have heard from people.
