When I Used To Be Vibrant- Ibitola Olutola

My name is Ibitola Adesola olutola. I graduated from the University of Ilorin, Kwara State in 2015.

When I was on campus I attended Methodist Campus fellowship (MCF). I joined the fellowship from my first year. I was made an executive in my second year and I remained an executive till final year.

The post I held then was Bible study coordinator from my second year till my final year. I was also the worker's secretary from my third year till my fourth year which was my final. Also, I was also the final year brethren coordinator.

After I graduated in 2015, I felt as if I was free from the many responsibilities, but I was wrong because not too long I realised that my spiritual development and walk with God has just started and I needed to do more.

It is very easy to forget to study and pray, because I don't have responsibilities again.

But I can say that by the Help of God, I have been able to improve on my spiritual life/walk with God on daily basis. When I was in school I studied my Bible daily, I wake up early to pray, I find time even in my busy schedule to pray and fast, listen to messages and also read books. I have not stop all this activities and I have also improved on some of them.

And most importantly I surround myself with people of like minds(believers ), honestly survival outside school may not be easy because there are different folks out here.

My advise to every believer out there is to be intentional with your walk/relationship with God. Don't stop the things you use to do and improve on yourself.  There will be situations that will challenge you, but never give up. Keep the campus fire burning and allow it to burn more.

Let this be your watchword 2Tim 2:4-5.
Shalom.

Can You See Islam Imploding?

Islam has taken a major stage in the world today, with many western nations trying to find their feet in the face of millions of immigrants from Islamic nations. Several European countries are losing their own culture as the Islamic wave is taking over their lands already. While in Africa, nations are embroiled in Islam related conflicts that is claiming lives in millions. In many places, Muslims have become citizens and are beginning to contest for political offices. The current mayor of London is a Muslim. Same with the current mayor of New York. Scotland already had a Muslim PM. You see, there is no issue with a Muslim becoming a political leader other than the fact that true Muslims are territorial; their religion teaches them that the religion of the ruler is the religion of the land. Is this Islamophobia? Wait. What is Islamophobia? Why should anyone be Islamophobic? Is it because terrorists are Muslims? Or because Muslims threaten to slaughter anyone who slanders their religion?...

Prophetic Perspective: Israel vs Iran

The middle east situation between Israel and Palestine is a very complex one that can be viewed from many sides. Whichever perspective you choose, there will always be an unresolved issue. It is exactly a year that Hamas, a terrorist group in Palestine, dealt the biggest blow ever to the Israeli state, killing over 1000 Jews and abducting about 251. It sent a shock wave round the world. The October 7, 2023 attacks kick-started a war that has escalated to involve Lebanon, Syria, Qatar and Iran. Israel has gone all out attacking Palestine in a wave that many world leaders have been cautioning them to consider the civilians. ORIGIN OF THE WAR The origin of the war in the middle east can be traced back to the 1920s when Britain, in conjunction with the Arabs defeated the Ottoman military in Jerusalem and took the city as a colony of the British royalty.  It wasn't long before the British decided to release the land to the Arabs that fought alongside them. But, there was another set of ...

Seven Years In Christ- Friends

After an official meeting with executives of tacsfonOAU When I resumed for the second year in college, I saw a result of the previous year and it was 39%. I couldn't believe what I saw because it was definitely not commensurate with my efforts. I wept quite bitterly and promised God that He wouldn't see me around any of His assignments again. I just joined a subgroup in my fellowship and I expected that my results will be better because of the several testimonies that I have heard from people. As I was weeping, God directed three friends to visit the spot where I was weeping. It was a miracle that I wouldn't forget. They consoled me and encouraged me to take a step of checking the result with the coordinator of the course. Eventually, my result was changed to 62%. This is one of the many times that the Lord has used brothers and sisters around me to stabilize me and keep me in line with His purpose. The role they have played in my last 7 years cannot be written in ...
