My name is Emmanuel Adelu and I graduated from Tai Sola University of Education in 2013. I attended CACYOF and I was privileged to serve as the Head of Technical Department.
These are the things l do presently to keep myself with God:
First of all, l want us to know that it's not by might, nor power, but by the Spirit of God (Zec 4vs6).
We need to also know this; to keep oneself with God required a lot of discipline because, we must keep the body under the subjection of our recreated human spirit. Therefore, l do these daily:
1. When I wake up in the morning, l pray in tongues for at least an hour, sometimes l start my day with worship, sometimes l study for 40 minutes or an hour before prayer. There are times l engage in prayer walk on the street early in the morning, it doesn't stop here.
2. On my way to my place of work, it is either l'm praying in tongues or listening to anointed audio message or spiritual music. Also, whenever l'm free in the place of work, sometimes, l read bible more or spiritual write-ups or listening to audio message with earpiece.
3. When l come back in the evening, after my meal then relaxation. In the place of relaxation l create atmosphere for the Holy Spirirt by playing worship songs or audio bible or messages by anointed men of God. However, sleeping with worship music or message or audio bible has really helped me.
4. Association or Fellowship with brethren (especially like minded). lt's true that lron sharpens lron; so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend (pro 27vs17). We enjoy cooperate anointing when we fellowship with brethren. The bible talk about a company of soldiers that came to join David's Army and they too became mighty warrior, these happened on the platform of right association.
5. Fasting is one of the kingdom key that set men on fire. Therefore, l fast for at least two days in a week.
In addition, reaching out to the unsaved also helped. In conclusion praying the following scriptures often has really helped me: Eph 1vs16-21, Eph3vs14-20, Phi 1vs 9-11, Col 1vs9-11, Eze 47 vs 3-5.
My encouragement: God is ever faithful, no matter your current situation, you can catch up with Him. I commit unto Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy. Amen. Thanks.
