Why I Believe In One Nigeria

There have been several calls in recent times for the breaking of Nigeria into three major tribes that form the nation. This call has suddenly increased in this administration as a result of the nepotistic character of the Federal government. The calls all come from genuine concerns seeing that the North seem to pose more demerits to the south than merits. While I share all these concerns, my stand is quite different.

I have been studying prophecies about Nigeria for about 5 years now. I have examined the contents of prophecies from S.G. Elton, Benson Idahosa, Ruth Elton, Cindy Jacobs, Paul Gindiri, Intercessors for Nigeria, FGBMFI, the Fulani prophecy and different prayer conferences from 1984 till date. I have also studied the role of men like Usman Dan Fodio, George Goldie and Oduduwa in the formation of the country and in all of this, every prophecy and prophetic intelligence point to that there will be challenges, but the nation will overcome.

The only prophecy that seems to suggest a break is the encounter Usman Dan Fodio has with a Watcher where the Watcher said 'that “the kingdom you have spilled so much blood to build will not last for more than 200 years. Your children will beg to visit the southern part of the places where you have conquered”. This word seems to suggest that there will a need for the Northerners to get visa before they can enter the south. But before we conclude, we need to read this in light of the other prophecies because we "see in part and prophecy in part".

Considering the words of people like S.G. Elton and Cindy Jacobs, it is clear that the nation will remain as one despite the oppositions. In 1983, Pa S.G. Elton described a profound prophecy given to him by the LORD. "Africa is like a gun pointed down. Its turret and muzzle is South Africa. Its trigger is Nigeria." If Nigeria breaks, that prophecy will fall to the ground. The African trigger will still be there, but Nigeria won't be around to fulfill the prophecy. Cindy Jacobs positions Nigeria in a strategic position for world evangelism. Needless to say that Nigeria has a lot of prophecies hanging on her shoulders and her breaking will render this unfulfilled.

The cries for secession is majorly as a result of the insecurity that has its root in the North and is flowing strongly into the land. The untamed Fulani herdsmen that has turned into a militia and radical Islam that already has a stronghold in the North Eastern part of the nation. As much as these are genuine reasons why the South wants to pull out of Nigeria, I make bold to say that we would be playing into the hands of the devil if there is a break. Apart from the prophecies that would hang in the balance, we would be opening up the North to a great devastation.

Presently, the Northern Christians are under siege and most of the killings do not get to the media. If we break away, the subsequent Arewa nation will unanimously become a Muslim nation which will make Jihad a legal affair. What do you think will happen to the believers there? What becomes of the churches that are already been threatened in the Nigeria of today? Your guess is as good as mine. There is a reason why the LORD made sure that we are together. The salvation of one is in the hands of another.

The new PFN President, Bishop Wale Oke, recently said that he is now sending funds to some Northern churches. The truth is that the Northern churches need the Southern churches at this time. We need to stand by them in prayers, funds and advocacy. Remember how Paul rallied the European churches to send funds to Jerusalem because of the challenges the church there was facing. We need to do the same right now.

As someone who has had a spell of full time missionary work in the North, I find it hard to call for a secession. The unsaved souls in the North is almost double of the number of believers in the South. The number of souls that need to be reached in the North is enormous! What happens when we leave? What becomes of the unsaved souls there? The same challenges we are facing with Islamic nations will surface in Arewa.

Secession is not the solution to the insecurity we are facing. It doesn’t even out rightly guarantee that Oduduwa and Biafra will be free of terrorism. We all need to stand against terrorism and her apologists and wipe the menace off our lands. The current administration has made these challenges looks as if it cannot be solved. They made herdmen seem to be untouchable. Miyetti Allah makes boasts on national TV and still walks the streets and so we are thinking that leaving the union will solve our issues.

Breaking away is not God’s will

Breaking away will not guarantee peace

Breaking away will not solve our problems.

Oranmiyan (Part 3: Origin of Yoruba)

Our journey will begin by identifying who the Yoruba people are. From the stories and relics of the children of the tribe, it is obvious that the projenitors of the tribe were deeply rooted in sorcery. Especially those who constitute the royal families. Their blood lines is soaked in idolatry, divination and sorcery. They know how to access principalities and powers and learn their worship modes. There are many stories about the origin of the Yoruba race. The Yoruba race has two major stories about their origin. One is supernatural. The other is natural The supernatural or divine one said that the supreme being, God, sent a god- Obatala to come and create the earth, but he got drunk and God had to send another god- Oduduwa. This is what some people hold. This school of thought has several loopholes chief of which is that Oduduwa entered Ile Ife in 11AD, but Ife Arts, according to carbon dating goes way back as 500BC which means that there was life in Ile Ife before Oduduwa came in. Oranmiyan (Part 4: Lamurudu vs Oduduwa)

After being forced out of his land, Lamurudu settled in Egypt for some time where he deepened his knowledge in sorcery. He learned several patterns of rituals which still exists in some parts of Ijebu today. At that time, the Egyptians have developed so well in the worship of their gods who were originally men. The concept of gods begins with a man encountering a demonic prince who is looking for obeisance from men. These princes have the same goal as Lucifer. Once they begin to get attention from a man, the man begins to take up their (dark) nature because it is a law in the spirit realm that whatever you behold, you become. The consecration of these men to the worship of the princes led to the reproduction of the abilities and characteristics of the prince in the man, so the man becomes great among other men. Most of these men takes up the name of the prince that they worship such that when the man dies, you can keep calling his name and the prince responds to your request thereby es

Oranmiyan (Part 5: The gods of Egypt)

During the sojourn of Lamurudu in Egypt, what was going on in Egypt at that time was similar to what happened in Genesis 6:1-2 where demonic entities found a way to reproduce themselves in women to establish a race of beings that were not fully humans. These creatures were very big that they were called Giants. They had 6 fingers and toes and unusual strength. Bible refer to them as Nephilims which means mysterious beings who are large and strong. Some other meanings called them fallen ones. They had supernatural abilities and they preyed on full humans. The situation was like what was portrayed in Harry Potter that had pure bloods, half bloods, mud bloods and muggles. The pure bloods were the witches whose both parents are also witches, half blood is a witch with one parent as witch, mud blood has both parents as normal people and muggles are non witches. At that time in Genesis 6, the Nephilims had created another race on earth that paralleled the pure humans. This what why God sent
