Jesus Christ told us that when the gospel of the kingdom has been preached in all nations, He will return to the earth. The gospel of the kingdom is quite different from the gospel of salvation which is what we preach in most places at the moment. The gospel of salvation is for individuals while the gospel of the kingdom is for territories.
It is important that we are able to see the complete plan of God so that we can be able to see the different parts. The complete plan of God is "thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven". God wants to make this earth look like heaven with respect to His dominion.
This earth is a kingdom and God wants to take it. The process started by saving the men in it and then making those men, who are loyal to Him, to have complete dominion over the earth and this will eventually be given to Him when He returns for the millennial reign.
Jesus is not coming back to the earth as a saviour. He is returning as a king and He will fight those who resist His kingship in what we refer to as Armageddon war. The aim is the kingdom and this implies that Jesus wants to have political powers and decide the culture of the people. The closest example I can use to explain this is the Islamic agenda.
Islam is a religion that has, from the inception, prioritized kingdoms above men. That is why they are not merciful to those who oppose them in places they have conquered. When Islam enters a territory, it seeks to change the way of life of the people by replacing their thinking pattern with the values of Islam.
The sociocultural space is filled with teachings of the Qur'an so much that the language, dressing, education and family life is patterned along that line. As that is going on, the political space is gradually being taken too. The legislative arm begins to have more Muslims and non-muslims gradually fall into the minority which paves ways for laws that align with the Qur'an to be passed in the land.
As more laws are made, the land is gradually being branded as an Islamic territory. The executive arm of the government is also being stocked up with Muslims which gives them the room to sign the Islam bills from the legislative arm into law. The 'Jihad' war is not the only way that the Islamic agenda is done especially in times like this when terrorism is condemned everywhere.
Also, the population of Muslims in the territory of interest would keep growing almost exponentially because of the beliefs about a family where a man is allowed to marry as many wives as he can cater for and give birth to many children. Some give birth to as many as 40 children. It's part of the taking over plan. If there is 1 Muslim family in a community of 100 people, that community will have more Muslims in less than 100 years. Underage marriage is allowed for this same purpose.
So, when a Christian says that it is impossible to Islamize a region like Nigeria, it is a myopic statement. Believers in Nigeria don't have to be killed before it happens. There are Christians in many Islamic nations of the world, yet the nations are referred to as Islamic nations because they are in control of the systems of the land.
This is a parallel to what Jesus wants to build on the earth in the millennial reign and it has started in this age already as God is training us on how we would take charge of things in that age. The gospel of the kingdom is very offensive and anyone that preaches this is often referred to as a fanatic irrespective of the kingdom he is fighting for.
The same battle is what is going on in USA. President Trump has a kingdom mindset. He believes that America is for Jesus. Brexit is also inspired by this issue as European Union is open to the immigration of Muslims from Syria into the countries.
An average Muslim has a kingdom mindset. They see themselves as one, they help themselves and push each other to occupy offices of influence. Believers must jettison our denominational mindset and fuse together to advance the kingdom of God in the earth. Jesus wants everyone to be saved and He wants to determine how the society looks too. The gospel of salvation is embedded in the gospel of the kingdom.
Revelation 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become [the kingdoms] of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
