Taxi Episode- Jesus Inside Bus!

I could have dozed off inside the Ajumose bus (the Ibadan version of BRT), but something woke me up. It was a voice that carried more than lyrics and melody. The effect it had on me was like that of a hotspot that has just detected a Wi-Fi.

My aim was to rest my muscles as I was going home inside the bus, but the song this man is singing is triggering a chain reaction. For a while now, I have been meditating on the tangible presence of God and how to discover it even in a very secular atmosphere.

Few seats ahead of me inside the bus, a man was singing a song and it was causing so much presence inside the bus. I could sense it. He was singing- "at the center of it all, it's You that I see". He kept on repeating that line, quite loudly.

I know it is prohibited to do religious stuffs inside the bus, but the network is too strong for my hotspot not to connect. I damned the consequences and I began to sing along. I started with humming before I fully joined the singing. I could sense the presence of Jesus becoming stronger as we sang in the bus.

As we sang and enjoyed the flow of the Spirit, the man directly in front of me turned back and I could see anger in his face. His dressing and beard that proved that he is devoted Muslim.

He roared at me "dake enu re" (shut up your mouth). At that point, the man who began the song initially changed the song we were singing. He changed it to the Sinach song- Way Maker. I sang more loudly this time. When we got to the point where we sang "You are here, moving in our midst", the man in front of me turned back again

He opened his mouth with the same anger as the first time, but what came out of his mouth was "Jesus is king, Jesus is king". Two scriptures popped up in my heart. One, Saul wanted to kill David in Ramah, but when the anointing came upon him, he began to prophecy and two, the spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus. To me, this confirms the presence of Jesus!

Suddenly, on the other side of the bus, someone started speaking in other Tongues. As the voice of the third man swept the bus, a cold breeze blew across the bus and everywhere went silent. There was reverence in the bus. I had seen this before. I know what it means! Someone is around!

The song continued in the bus and another voice joined us. This other voice wasn't singing, it was weeping. The young man wept out loudly. He screamed "I am a sinner, help me". Then I noticed a lady not so far away from me. She was shivering. I couldn't move towards her because of bus was still in motion.

After about 2 minutes, we met a little traffic and the man who was praying in tongues stood up and preached for few minutes. 14 people (including the man directly in front of me) made a decision for Jesus!

Could these dreams be fiction?

Nigeria In The Bible

As we approach another celebration of the independence of the nation Nigeria, I will like us to know some things about this nation that the LORD has shown me. If a man wants to know the details of God's will for his life, he would need to read the things that have been written or said about him by God. Prophecy is one of the ways that the will of God can be known. Prophecy is voicing God's will. This same principle applies to territories as territories also have a will established by God for them to fulfill. In the scriptures, we see details of many nations that existed in that time. Nations like Israel, Egypt, Syria, Edom, Philistine, Babylon and in the new testament, we saw countries like Italy and Spain which still exists till today. Most of the nations that were mentioned in the old testament bear a new name today. There were some nations mentioned in the old testament, but their names were not specified. God, through the prophets spoke about the destiny of some na

Prophetic Perspective: Israel vs Iran

The middle east situation between Israel and Palestine is a very complex one that can be viewed from many sides. Whichever perspective you choose, there will always be an unresolved issue. It is exactly a year that Hamas, a terrorist group in Palestine, dealt the biggest blow ever to the Israeli state, killing over 1000 Jews and abducting about 251. It sent a shock wave round the world. The October 7, 2023 attacks kick-started a war that has escalated to involve Lebanon, Syria, Qatar and Iran. Israel has gone all out attacking Palestine in a wave that many world leaders have been cautioning them to consider the civilians. ORIGIN OF THE WAR The origin of the war in the middle east can be traced back to the 1920s when Britain, in conjunction with the Arabs defeated the Ottoman military in Jerusalem and took the city as a colony of the British royalty.  It wasn't long before the British decided to release the land to the Arabs that fought alongside them. But, there was another set of

Oranmiyan (Part 7: The Birth of Oranmiyan)

Before we look at the birth of Oranmiyan, it is necessary to learn about a certain man- Ogun. The war situation between Oduduwa and Obatala gave Oduduwa a lot of concerns. He gave birth to seven sons whom he sent into other locations to establish themselves and regard Ile Ife as their source. This is why we refer to Oduduwa today as the projenitor of the Yoruba people whereas, Oduduwa's family only took over the thrones of an already established tribe. It is historically inaccurate to refer to the Yoruba people as children of Oduduwa. Taking over a place and changing their culture completely is a pattern that is seen in a nation in the bible. That nation is Babylon. When Babylon takes over a place, they suck out their culture and give them Babylon culture. They take the best sons of the land and train them in Babylon ways so that the original culture of those people will be lost. This is what Nebuchadnezzar did with Daniel and his friends and the reason why the princes of Babylon d
