This morning, I remembered a woman that became a very hot cake among some circles about 7 years ago. She was popularly called Erelu. She claimed to be a very high ranked witch in Africa before she got saved. She also claimed to be the person that gave a lot of pastors and music ministers in Nigeria power. The most prominent was Bishop Oyedepo.
I was few months old in Christ at that time, so I easily believed the claim and argued with my friends who were cautious about her. I wouldn't allow anything to stop me from believing.
It's been 7 years and I still have some struggles listening to Bishop's messages even when it has been established that the woman lied. Truth always stand the test of time. I remember the part of the scripture that says if anyone makes a little one to sin, it would be better for the person to be drowned with a millstone tied to his neck.
Whenever I see a post that mentions names of some ministers and claims that the ministers are not true to God or do not know the bible, I stay far away from such posts because I know how much a soul can become offended and it won't be able to receive anything through that minister again.
I watch what I say about people so much that I don't want to be the vessel through whom someone will begin to see another person as ill. It's wrong. It offends the soul. One of my pastor says that the soul has no bone.
The apostles didn't agree on every single doctrine. The loudest is Peter and Paul, but you will never see Paul causing people's heart to be offended towards Peter and Peter never discredited Paul in his writings.
Erelu died shortly after Bishop heard the news and gave her a token of what anointing looks like. The truth is, wherever Erelu is presently (heaven or hell), she will pay for what she did. A man that is not sound on a particular doctrine can teach another thing accurately.
Don't cause people's heart to be offended towards such people. It affects their walk. Straighten the feet of people; not the other way.
1 Corinthians 14:20 Brethren, do not be children in understanding; however, in malice be babes, but in understanding be mature. KJV
