Purpose: Why Are We Still Here?...Part 3

Have you listened to Myles Munroe talk about the kingdom before? I want to use this third part of this topic to prove to you that there is a work that Christians are meant to do on the earth and this work is what will bring our Lord Jesus back to the earth.

For a while now, we have believed that the reason why God left us here on earth after we got saved is so that we can preach to others to get saved. That is quite true, but it's not complete. We are also meant to preach what Jesus called the gospel of the kingdom.

There is this story that is very fascinating in the bible. It's the story of how a King had a dream and forgot the dream, but he wanted to know the meaning. I wondered how cruel he must have been to call for the head of his counselors who told him that his wish was impossible.

The king was definitely uncomfortable with the fact that he had forgotten his dream and he knew that the dream was very important. But there was no one to tell him. In fact, they said "no man on the earth can reveal this matter".

Then, an Israelite was called and he solved the entire problem. There is another similar story, but this time, the king could remember his dream. His wise men, however couldn't interpret the dream too. This king was also very troubled like the first king. It was another Hebrew boy that solved this and saved the whole world.

This two stories point to the value that Christians will carry before the end of this age. Before rapture, the world will come to respect the army of God on earth. It would interest you that these two Hebrew boys were not in there home at that time. They were far away from their kinsmen. Let me remind you of a scripture

1 Peter 2:11 Beloved, I beg [you] as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul,

You see my friends, even as pilgrims on earth, we are meant to subdue the earth with the power of the age to come. We will see this kind of stories happen in our days before the rapture will happen. Someone once said to me that there is truly no new thing under the sun, but what about above the sun?

There are folks that believe that until the millennial reign of Jesus, we wouldn't see any trace of the influence of righteousness, peace and joy on the earth. That's not true. Bible talks about tasting the powers of the age to come...

Even if it is just a taste, I am interested!

Will you be part of the army of the LORD or you will be a spectator?

Prophetic Perspective: Israel vs Iran

The middle east situation between Israel and Palestine is a very complex one that can be viewed from many sides. Whichever perspective you choose, there will always be an unresolved issue. It is exactly a year that Hamas, a terrorist group in Palestine, dealt the biggest blow ever to the Israeli state, killing over 1000 Jews and abducting about 251. It sent a shock wave round the world. The October 7, 2023 attacks kick-started a war that has escalated to involve Lebanon, Syria, Qatar and Iran. Israel has gone all out attacking Palestine in a wave that many world leaders have been cautioning them to consider the civilians. ORIGIN OF THE WAR The origin of the war in the middle east can be traced back to the 1920s when Britain, in conjunction with the Arabs defeated the Ottoman military in Jerusalem and took the city as a colony of the British royalty.  It wasn't long before the British decided to release the land to the Arabs that fought alongside them. But, there was another set of ...

Can You See Islam Imploding?

Islam has taken a major stage in the world today, with many western nations trying to find their feet in the face of millions of immigrants from Islamic nations. Several European countries are losing their own culture as the Islamic wave is taking over their lands already. While in Africa, nations are embroiled in Islam related conflicts that is claiming lives in millions. In many places, Muslims have become citizens and are beginning to contest for political offices. The current mayor of London is a Muslim. Same with the current mayor of New York. Scotland already had a Muslim PM. You see, there is no issue with a Muslim becoming a political leader other than the fact that true Muslims are territorial; their religion teaches them that the religion of the ruler is the religion of the land. Is this Islamophobia? Wait. What is Islamophobia? Why should anyone be Islamophobic? Is it because terrorists are Muslims? Or because Muslims threaten to slaughter anyone who slanders their religion?...

Seven Years In Christ- Friends

After an official meeting with executives of tacsfonOAU When I resumed for the second year in college, I saw a result of the previous year and it was 39%. I couldn't believe what I saw because it was definitely not commensurate with my efforts. I wept quite bitterly and promised God that He wouldn't see me around any of His assignments again. I just joined a subgroup in my fellowship and I expected that my results will be better because of the several testimonies that I have heard from people. As I was weeping, God directed three friends to visit the spot where I was weeping. It was a miracle that I wouldn't forget. They consoled me and encouraged me to take a step of checking the result with the coordinator of the course. Eventually, my result was changed to 62%. This is one of the many times that the Lord has used brothers and sisters around me to stabilize me and keep me in line with His purpose. The role they have played in my last 7 years cannot be written in ...
