  I walked into a bookshop in Lagos with the intention of getting a material that can help my intercession. I really didn’t have any author in mind. Walking along, I saw a book by a cherished woman of God- Cindy Jacobs. The title sounds more like something I’ll like to have- Possessing the gates of the enemy. Forwarded by Peter C. Wagner, I knew it would be a memorable one. Little did I know that it would be blockbuster! The book was not just a material, but a full package experience. I had several times of repenting to do. Several moments of praying and of course, dreams. The day I read the final page was even more interesting. Esther was said to be a teenager at the time that king Ahasuarus called for the beauty peagent to select another queen. This young girl has been raised by her cousin who could fit into her uncle becuase of the age difference. Esther had been taught te ways of the people of Israel and was very obedient to her guardian- Mordecai. Eventually when Esther became the quuen, her fame went far and wide. The king called for a feast and even declared a public holiday to honour the new queen. Everyone knew her, but they didn't know who about Mordecai. Mordecai had a role of siting at the gate of the king. In those times, the people who sit at the gate are men considered to be noble. They get a lot of information because they can see what and who is entering the palace of the king. This was the position where Mordecai occupied in those times and that was why he could hear f the plot to kill the king. Mordecai made sure that Esther had about the plot who inturn reported to the king. In this, he showed a great loyalty and committment to the king as a gatekeeper. A gatekeeper is a custodian of several secrets and stories. They can be the source of rumors in a town and sometimes judge matters brought to them. Today, the Mordecai company represents a prophetic people who can see what is about to happen in a territory and be able to alert those with the access to make adequate preparatioons to avert an impending danger. One excellent typology are the characters of the old testament. They embody graces and anointings that we need especially in this last days. Entertainment is one of the seven mountains of influence that we have a responsibility to take for Jesus. The main stream of entertainment for a long time has been music and drama, but in recent decades, dance and comedy has taken a major role in this sphere of influence. The advent of social media has also increased the rate at which video and comedy travels to the people. Dance has become a great entertaining tool today and it is arguably the greatest stream taking over all the streams of entertainment. While the decadence in the entertainment industry is not the goal of this writing, I cannot ignore that there is a spike in immorality since internet has removed the gates of regulatory bodies that check the morality of songs and videos. So, last night, I was meditating about the things that God is doing in this times and it dawned on me that we are in a period where our minds are being bombarded with images, video and text. We are in the greatest period of media height. Everywhere you turn, you see something waiting for your mind to feed on. You're not free at any point in time from the floods coming from the various platforms. Majority of the contents in recent years are immoral and the cry for biblically sound and creative content has been going on for some years. The middle east situation between Israel and Palestine is a very complex one that can be viewed from many sides. Whichever perspective you choose, there will always be an unresolved issue. It is exactly a year that Hamas, a terrorist group in Palestine, dealt the biggest blow ever to the Israeli state, killing over 1000 Jews and abducting about 251.
