Word For The Week (Week 35): Exposition On Matthew 24 (Part 1)

Matthew 24:1-2 Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said to them, "Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not [one] stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down." Matthew 24 is one of the profound chapters in the gospels that gives an account of what to expect in the last days. The chapter also explains the arrangement of events that will lead to the close of this age. The chapter begins with the disciples of Jesus admiring the temple in Jerusalem, but to their surprise, Jesus told them that the temple would be destroyed so much that one stone will not be placed on another. To a Jew, this is a very offensive statement because they consider their temple a sacred building where God dwells. What they did not know is that Jesus was not just referring to the physical temple, but what referring to Himself. 70 years later, the temple was truly destroye...

Easter Celebrations: Cross or Eggs?

Last year Easter, I wanted to download a picture to be used on Easter Sunday celebration for projection. I was surprised to find most pictures to be that of colored eggs and not of the biblical symbols of Easter. Many have been asking how colored eggs connect to Easter. The Easter eggs have become the major visuals online used to represent Easter celebrations as against the crown of thorns soaked in blood, empty tomb etc Why is there a change in symbolism? Easter celebrations started as a festival in the Catholic church to mark the end of the 40 days lent period. The week, regarded as Holy Week, is the first one week after the fasting period and it consists of Palm sunday, Holy Monday, Holy Tuesday, Holy Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday. This celebration is the oldest and most important in the entire christian year and the biblical symbols used in this internet age are crown of thorns soaked in blood, empty tomb, pierced palm and cross. Nigeria in our Hands

This would probably be my last word concerning the Nigerian 2023 elections. I have been writing since last year on the election, but this time, I will be more explicit and detailed because of the kind of need that I see in the realm of the Spirit. If you are a reader of my blog posts, you will know that I am apolitical. I do align with any political stream, but I watch the fulfillment of the plan of God in spheres and geographical locations. Concerning the election, God has been revealing a lot of things concerning the leading candidates and it has been a journey that gave me a lot of goosebumps. In this post, I will be revealing the heart of God as seen by intercessors, prophets and apostles in several parts of the nation. It is so amazing how much our sight has been aligned. I mean, different groups and streams keep seeing the same thing. No disunity. It is surreal. Like I said, I will be detailed and explicit.  Bola Ahmed Tinubu Ever since the LORD began to reveal things to peop...

Prophetic Intelligence: Nigeria General Election

As we approach the 2023 elections in Nigeria, the LORD, by mercy has not kept us in the dark as He keeps unveiling the plans of darkness to keep Nigeria from fulfilling God's plan. If you have been following my writings about the election, you will be aware of how there is a plan to stir up the spirit of June 12- a time portal for violence, political uprising and religious persecutions. In 1993, the mantra of the leading candidate who was going to enforce that reality was 'Hope'. Today, we have one of the leading candidates with the mantra 'Renewed Hope'. Apart from the similar mantra of these two candidates (separates by exactly 30 years), they both have religion tickets. It is easy to fish out the spirit behind this renewed hope. Hope is an aspiration to do something. A week ago, after ministering in Christian Youth Alliance, Lagos, the Holy Spirit said He would visit us in dreams that night. That night, just before I woke up, I had a dream. I saw a public transpo...

Speaking Altars

In my last post about altars , I shared how that an altar is the junction point between the physical and the spiritual realm. If you want to effect a change in the spiritual realm, you will need the services of an altar. Altars have an ability to 'speak' into the spiritual and how loud the voice of an altar is depends on the spiritual stature of the sacrifice on it. The functional part of an altar is the sacrifice. An altar without a sacrifice cannot make an impact in the realm of the spirit. In the old testament, sacrifices are offered on altars and the incense rising from it is regarded as a sweet smelling savour to God. Which means that it is the incense rising from an altar that actually reaches out to the realm of the spirit. These types and shadows paint the realities of the new testament believer. The new testament believer is built as a spiritual altar that can reach out to God and where God can be felt. We are built as living stones fit together to form a temple. The t...
