Oranmiyan (Part 8: Educating The Nephilim)

The birth of Oranmiyan came in the last days of Oduduwa. He already knew that he won't be able to see to the learning of the giant baby. Being a different breed, Oranmiyan would need a different education and for this to happen, Oduduwa had to send Oranmiyan to Egypt.

At that time, no one knew what manner of child Oranmiyan would grow up into. They only knew that he was going to be strange, but they couldn't define the strange.

To help you understand this well, we need to look into who a Nephilim is. The first time this breed of creatures entered the earth was in Genesis 6 when demons of high ranks found a way to deposit their seed in the women, the product was a breed that is half human and half demon.

This is not a demon possessed man, but a being that is a demon with some human capabilities. It was so strange that God had to wipe them out with the flood because God considered them a contamination that could spoil His plan of redemption through Jesus.

These people fought against anyone who tried to resist their complete takeover of the earth. If you have seen the movie- Lord of the Rings, then you would know about Orcs. Orcs are the closest examples of what the nature of a Nephilim looks like- half man, half demon.

They tend to come in very huge bodies. Og, the king of Bashan, who was among the last full Nephilims had a bed that was over 13 feet long and 6 feet wide. The tallest man the contemporary world has seen is 8+ feet tall. The giant body is about the most popular character of Nephilims, but that is just one of the minor characters and abilities.

With respect to ability, Nephilims are like today's heros movies where different hero has different abilities. Sometimes you don't know your ability until you're helped by an experienced Nephilim. Their abilities range from super strength, extraordinary intelligence, fearful appearances and magnificent warring ability.

Their presence on earth was a great threat to full blood humans which God did not want. In Genesis 6 when they were first birthed, see what followed- Genesis 6:5 (NLT). The Lord observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and he saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil.

Nephilims are wired to only think and do evil. They have no ability of anything righteous because their nature is demonic. As a result of this situation, two things were produced: The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. (Gen 6:11).

When Oranmiyan was born, he had no idea who he was. Everyone around him were normal humans, so he grew up seeing himself as a human, but Oduduwa knew that there is more to him, hence the Egypt journey.

Oranmiyan (Part 3: Origin of Yoruba)

Our journey will begin by identifying who the Yoruba people are. After being forced out of his land, Lamurudu settled in Egypt for some time where he deepened his knowledge in sorcery. Oranmiyan (Part 5: The gods of Egypt)

During the sojourn of Lamurudu in Egypt, what was going on in Egypt at that time was similar to what happened in Genesis 6:1-2 where demonic entities found a way to reproduce themselves in women to establish a race of beings that were not fully humans. These creatures were very big that they were called Giants. They had 6 fingers and toes and unusual strength. Bible refer to them as Nephilims which means mysterious beings who are large and strong. Some other meanings called them fallen ones. They had supernatural abilities and they preyed on full humans.
