The Middle East: And The Spiritual Significance (Part 2)

I have been able to establish that mankind started from the Middle East, but we have seen many things spring from other parts of the world, but till today the middle East still holds a significance that cannot be taken away from them and that is the origin of every major religion in the world today. Judaism, Christianity and Islam all have their roots in the region that is known today as highly volatile.

The middle East is very volatile because of the scamper for land and supremacy, however the major issue in this last days is religious supremacy. The middle East has been divided along the lines of religion. Judaism exists alone in Israel, Christianity is in tits and bits in the nations while Islam takes the biggest chunk. Spiritual pilgrimage in the world today is found in the same region. The question you would want to ask is: why are they all particular about the middle East?

Judaism is the oldest of the 3 religions and the Jews cannot let go of some locations because it is tied to their faith. A place like Jerusalem is held in high esteem because of the connections it has to their temple which was first built in the 10th century B.C.E. during the days of King Solomon. It was destroyed by Babylon (present day Iraq) and rebuilt just before the birth of Jesus. The temple was again destroyed by the Romans at 70 AD. The Jews believe that the temple will be rebuilt a third time as prophesied by Ezekiel.

Christianity on her own cannot turn a blind eye to the middle East because of the root we have in Judaism and the veracity of the birth, ministry, crucifixion, death, resurrection and ascension of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Also, the coming back of Jesus to rule the earth from Jerusalem is another reason why believers must be interested in the situation in the middle East.

Islam also have many reasons why they are so interested in the middle East. If the world will believe the testimony of Mohammed, they have to preserve the monuments that are attached to him. Islam has spread much more in the middle East than other places. Mecca and Medina in present day Saudi Arabia are sacred locations according to the Muslim faith. Hinduism is also closely knitted with Middle East.

Why did all of them come out of the same region? Is there some sort of spiritual importance that the region has that the others do not have? The answer is simple. Judaism, Christianity and Islam all have their root in the same man that the lands of the middle East was willed to- Abraham. The three religions all claim to be the right heir to the inheritance of Abraham. The land and supremacy battle is still main issue.

I don't want to make this too long, but please follow me as I drive at a very important conclusion. I delayed this second part a bit when I saw the path that the Holy Spirit is driving at. It scared me. 'Am I bold enough to make it known' was a question it took me days before I could answer.
