The happenings of this world have been moving in a direction that seeks to edge God out of everywhere. God is not permitted in the government houses, schools, hospitals and even public places. They call Him religion; classifying Him among the perverse innovations of the devil meant to decieve man.
These occurrences are not coincidental. They are well planned actions by the devil to rid the earth of all forms of the presence and influence of God. One major way of getting this done is by dominating the sphere of influence called Media.
The battle for the media is typified in the bible as the battle between Israel and the Amorites. The Amorites were one of the 7 nations Israel was instructed to wipe out from the promised land. Moses and Joshua fought battles against the Amorites with different signs and wonders such as the standing of the Sun in the sky for a day.
The word "Amorites" means "to say" or "to talk". They were a boastful, arrogant, fame seeking and challenging race. This pictures the current media outlets and the personalities behind them. The world is not privy to the counsel of the LORD in state matters, but when you see the men aligned with God praying to establish God's will, the media is used to tackle and discourage them.
A classic example is what is going on in the media space of USA. The current president- Donald Trump won the elections with intense intercession by the American church to roll back the hand of the devil established by the demonic Obama administration which saw homosexuality, liberalism and Islamization grow in the entire world.
The journalists who were so in love with Obama have been a great pain to Trump. Media outlets like CNN and MSNBC have been fiercely negative about the activities of the Trump government so much that within the first 100 days of the government, 91% of their news about him were negative, as studied by Harvard. Armstrong William, an American journalist with what he has seen so far in the Trump administration, said "if arrogance were a crime, many journalists will be behind bars!"
CNN and MSNBC have placed themselves in a position where they antagonize a government clearly set up by God. Whoever owns the media space has a great influence over the decision of men.
This, to a natural man is just democracy and its cones, but to the spiritual man, this is the media being used against the will of God. Just like Sihon stood against the advancement of Israel. Another example is what happens when Nigeria is about to make an important decision. The media vehemently stood against praying for the 2019 general elections.
Many voices (some even came from the church) came together to say "your prayers won't be counted, but your vote". This statement shows how much the forces behind the media makes people believe that God cannot do anything about elections. The fool says in his heart- there is no God!
The media in Nigeria have been used to deceive the people to believe that the northern part of the country is dominated by Islam and anyone from the region is a Muslim. This brings a lot of disorder to the governmental structures, educational system and evangelism/church growth.
You can explain this with different theories and speculations, but the foundation and focus of this is to make the church shy away from pushing the gospel into the Northern parts. This has made the church in Northern Nigeria to be isolated and as such, vulnerable to attacks. Roberts Liardon visited Nigeria in 2018 and his clarion call was for more evangelists to move to the Northern parts of the country! Thank God for denominations like ECWA and COCIN.
The advent of the social media has further increased the dominance of the devil over the earth in great ways. The testimonies of Sin is being spread through several radio programs, sad news spread like wild fire and immoral activities gets the nod of the majority. All these making the earth look impossible for Jesus to take.
However, just like the Israelites, the media will be taken over by the people of the LORD. It is the day of the LORD and so the television stations will proclaim the wonders of the Yahweh, newspapers will print the counsel of the LORD, radio stations will scream the testimonies of righteousness and the social media will be sanctified! No more will pastors be ridiculed on Facebook and Twitter till the earth be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD in the face of Jesus Christ!
I speak by the Spirit and I declare that the shakings prophesied by Prophets Joel and Haggai will affect the media space and it will sweep away many media giants that have stood against the counsel of God. Journalists will lose their relevance as the mountain of the LORD is established in the land. Amen.
