Text: 1 Thessalonians 5:20 Despise not prophesyings.

One of the spirits contending for the heavenly places over Nigeria is the spirit that seeks to discredit the spirit of prophecy. The scriptures reveal this spirit as the spirit of Jezebel. Jezebel in the bible seeks to take over the prophetic by establishing a new order and corrupt or discredit the true prophets of God.

When Ahab was the king of Israel, his wife, Jezebel sponsored the worship of Baal in the land and stirred the heart of the king away from God. Jezebel established a different order of the prophetic which was dedicated to Baal, but when Elijah shows up and killed the prophet, Jezebel came after him.

Jezebel is known for increasing immorality, but her primary pursuit is the prophet. In recent times in Nigeria, there have been a wave of this spirit. Many prophets were mocked for giving 'wrong' prophecies. Even pastors wrote against it.

Prophecy is the prove that Jesus is still alive and not dead. Prophecy is the testimony of Jesus Himself. Jezebel wants us to despise the prophetic so that our souls can begin to doubt the existence of Jesus.

I urge you to repent of all forms of despising the prophet and pray for the church at this time that we would be able to overcome the spirit of Jezebel seeking to take the land.

After an official meeting with executives of tacsfonOAU When I resumed for the second year in college, I saw a result of the previous year and it was 39%. I couldn't believe what I saw because it was definitely not commensurate with my efforts. I wept quite bitterly and promised God that He wouldn't see me around any of His assignments again. I just joined a subgroup in my fellowship and I expected that my results will be better because of the several testimonies that I have heard from people.
