Before I start sharing the stories of my friends, I will share something with you which I believe that anybody that decides to live out this principle will never know lukewarmness.
I am a member of an interdenominational organization in Ibadan, Nigeria. It is a youth organization whose vision is to raise Godly leaders that will make global impact in their fields of assignment. We meet every week to pray and strengthen ourselves with the Word.
Anywhere I find myself, I always get involved in the running of the organization because I know that labourers are always strong! You can not get to a market and see the people that helps with load looking weak and out of strength.
They are always strong and eager to carry the load of customers either on their head or with their wheelbarrow. It's the same thing in the church. The people who are involved in the running of the church are always strong.
In the organization I joined, I am a member of a unit meets twice a month. During the meeting, we spend time to pray in tongues and share the word. We also have vigils once a week. I don't miss it. Before our weekly Sunday meeting, I would go early to join the prayer team to pray.
All these activities I am getting involved with are not just activities, but avenues to fellowship with the Lord. The prayer and study times are not wastes, but they are what energizes me to spend time in my secret place too.
Even if I don't have time to pray during a week, I know certainly that I will spend at least 7 hours in a week to pray in other tongues. It's simply because I am involved in service in my local assembly.
You should do the same too. Be an active member of your local assembly. Join a unit and attend mid-week services. It will help us develop strength in spite of the 'no time' epidemic that exists in the world today.
Now is the time to become vibrant again for the Lord just like you were on campus. It's bad for us to have a better yesterday; our path is meant to be brighter and brighter. In case you feel you would need my help, please reach out to me.
I would start the stories of my friends. How they have been able to also stay up above the waters in these times.
