When I Used To Be Vibrant 2

Just like I promised, this is the second part of my story of how the Lord has been able to keep my walk with Him fresh ever since I left the university. I must say this that I haven't attained, so I am still pressing just you are also.

I will be sharing some things that I believe would help you to keep your walk with God fresh. So, sit back and let's enjoy this ride with the Holy Spirit.

God brings encounters our way to energize is to follow Him more closely and more passionately, so encounters plays a major role in our walk with the Lord. Encounters can come through several ways.

One way that the Lord brings encounters our way is through 'special programs'. Really, no program is special to God. His purposes may just be different from time to time. Attending programs is a way to stay informed about the things of the Spirit.

Last year, I attended a program and the encounter of the meeting lasted with me for about 4 months. I couldn't just recover. There are other meetings I have attended like that too that gave me indelible marks.

Get to know about programs around you. Prioritize them and attend. They have a way of refueling our tank to keep walking in the way of life. No just your church programs alone; attend other church programs and interdenominational programs too. We are one body and we are all here to help ourselves.

No matter how far you may have gone from God since you left school, God love is still pursuing you and that's why He has prompted me to write this series, so respond to God's call. His love is after you; return to the Father.

I will be sharing about programs on this blog, so in case you need information about programs around you, you can always check here or visit the page on Facebook.

Before I start sharing the stories of my friends, I will share one last, but very important thing that I do that also helps in keeping me with the Lord.

Can You See Islam Imploding?

Islam has taken a major stage in the world today, with many western nations trying to find their feet in the face of millions of immigrants from Islamic nations. Several European countries are losing their own culture as the Islamic wave is taking over their lands already. While in Africa, nations are embroiled in Islam related conflicts that is claiming lives in millions. In many places, Muslims have become citizens and are beginning to contest for political offices. The current mayor of London is a Muslim. Same with the current mayor of New York. Scotland already had a Muslim PM. You see, there is no issue with a Muslim becoming a political leader other than the fact that true Muslims are territorial; their religion teaches them that the religion of the ruler is the religion of the land. Is this Islamophobia? Wait. What is Islamophobia? Why should anyone be Islamophobic? Is it because terrorists are Muslims? Or because Muslims threaten to slaughter anyone who slanders their religion?...

Prophetic Perspective: Israel vs Iran

The middle east situation between Israel and Palestine is a very complex one that can be viewed from many sides. Whichever perspective you choose, there will always be an unresolved issue. It is exactly a year that Hamas, a terrorist group in Palestine, dealt the biggest blow ever to the Israeli state, killing over 1000 Jews and abducting about 251. It sent a shock wave round the world. The October 7, 2023 attacks kick-started a war that has escalated to involve Lebanon, Syria, Qatar and Iran. Israel has gone all out attacking Palestine in a wave that many world leaders have been cautioning them to consider the civilians. ORIGIN OF THE WAR The origin of the war in the middle east can be traced back to the 1920s when Britain, in conjunction with the Arabs defeated the Ottoman military in Jerusalem and took the city as a colony of the British royalty.  It wasn't long before the British decided to release the land to the Arabs that fought alongside them. But, there was another set of ...

Seven Years In Christ- Friends

After an official meeting with executives of tacsfonOAU When I resumed for the second year in college, I saw a result of the previous year and it was 39%. I couldn't believe what I saw because it was definitely not commensurate with my efforts. I wept quite bitterly and promised God that He wouldn't see me around any of His assignments again. I just joined a subgroup in my fellowship and I expected that my results will be better because of the several testimonies that I have heard from people. As I was weeping, God directed three friends to visit the spot where I was weeping. It was a miracle that I wouldn't forget. They consoled me and encouraged me to take a step of checking the result with the coordinator of the course. Eventually, my result was changed to 62%. This is one of the many times that the Lord has used brothers and sisters around me to stabilize me and keep me in line with His purpose. The role they have played in my last 7 years cannot be written in ...
