Letter To You- Of Ibadan Taxis

Dear Friend,

My letter to you today is about something I recently observed. I believe you will agree with me that there are many things we can learn by observing. Observation brings many things our way. I observed something and I would like to share it with you today.

The taxis in Ibadan are gradually wearing a new color. To someone that is new in Ibadan, the color would be something new, but to someone that has been in Ibadan for a long while it is not a new color.

Ibadan taxis used to be yellow and brown, then it was changed to white with two green stripes. Now, they are back to the yellow and brown color. It think that color actually fits Ibadan, but the change brought some thoughts to my heart.

Do you know that a lot of our friends have changed back to what they used to be just like Ibadan taxis? It's not a good news. People are now reducing the standard of the scriptures. There is a scripture I love so much in the book of Hebrews.

Hebrews 10:39 But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.

I often confess this scripture to myself. I really hope that you are still as fervent as you use to be. If not, you need to return to your first love. Don't be like the Ibadan taxis that changed back to what they use to me.

Can you remember that song by Hezekiah Walker- Moving Forward?

Your Friend,

Can You See Islam Imploding?

Islam has taken a major stage in the world today, with many western nations trying to find their feet in the face of millions of immigrants from Islamic nations. Several European countries are losing their own culture as the Islamic wave is taking over their lands already. While in Africa, nations are embroiled in Islam related conflicts that is claiming lives in millions. In many places, Muslims have become citizens and are beginning to contest for political offices. The current mayor of London is a Muslim. Same with the current mayor of New York. Scotland already had a Muslim PM. You see, there is no issue with a Muslim becoming a political leader other than the fact that true Muslims are territorial; their religion teaches them that the religion of the ruler is the religion of the land. Is this Islamophobia? Wait. What is Islamophobia? Why should anyone be Islamophobic? Is it because terrorists are Muslims? Or because Muslims threaten to slaughter anyone who slanders their religion?...

Prophetic Perspective: Israel vs Iran

The middle east situation between Israel and Palestine is a very complex one that can be viewed from many sides. Whichever perspective you choose, there will always be an unresolved issue. It is exactly a year that Hamas, a terrorist group in Palestine, dealt the biggest blow ever to the Israeli state, killing over 1000 Jews and abducting about 251. It sent a shock wave round the world. The October 7, 2023 attacks kick-started a war that has escalated to involve Lebanon, Syria, Qatar and Iran. Israel has gone all out attacking Palestine in a wave that many world leaders have been cautioning them to consider the civilians. ORIGIN OF THE WAR The origin of the war in the middle east can be traced back to the 1920s when Britain, in conjunction with the Arabs defeated the Ottoman military in Jerusalem and took the city as a colony of the British royalty.  It wasn't long before the British decided to release the land to the Arabs that fought alongside them. But, there was another set of ...

Seven Years In Christ- Friends

After an official meeting with executives of tacsfonOAU When I resumed for the second year in college, I saw a result of the previous year and it was 39%. I couldn't believe what I saw because it was definitely not commensurate with my efforts. I wept quite bitterly and promised God that He wouldn't see me around any of His assignments again. I just joined a subgroup in my fellowship and I expected that my results will be better because of the several testimonies that I have heard from people. As I was weeping, God directed three friends to visit the spot where I was weeping. It was a miracle that I wouldn't forget. They consoled me and encouraged me to take a step of checking the result with the coordinator of the course. Eventually, my result was changed to 62%. This is one of the many times that the Lord has used brothers and sisters around me to stabilize me and keep me in line with His purpose. The role they have played in my last 7 years cannot be written in ...
