Recently, while praying, the LORD told me that when a Christian is praying, what happens is similar to what happens in a nuclear reactor. So I went online to read about nuclear reactors and I was amazed at the massive similarities between a praying Christian and a nuclear reactor.
My residual knowledge of a nuclear reactor tells me that it is a big structure where nuclear reactions that release massive amount of energy takes place, but when I started reading more about it, I saw a greater insight.
Wikipedia says 'nuclear reactors convert the energy released by controlled nuclear fission into thermal energy for further conversion to mechanical or electrical forms.'
This statement struck me real hard as it looks like another modern version of James 5:16b. Firstly, the nuclear reactor is a store house of a large amount of energy that can supply electricity for a whole country or more. Germany's nuclear power plant supplies power not just to Germany alone, but also to Holland.
Does that sound like the words of Paul when he said '...according to the power at work in you' in his epistle to the Ephesians. The power resident in a believer is beyond what our mind can fathom. We must begin to see ourselves as carriers of power that can affect an entire nation.
Secondly, the power plant releases energy as it works. This is so straight forward. The power at work in us is released when we pray. Don't you ever think that you're not affecting things when you're praying. It's like a nuclear reactor pushing out massive energy for the use of the kingdom of Light.
A pastor once said that when we pray in the Spirit, God only uses about 10% of the prayers for us. He uses the remaining to do a lot of righteous works around the world. That's why we will have rewards of things we didn't know about when we get to heaven.
It would also interest you that once a nuclear reactor starts work, it cannot be stopped not even for a second, otherwise, it will explode. Christians must not stop praying either. You must keep releasing the energy from within you all the time!
Nuclear reactors release a lot of energies and so do Christians when they pray the in the Spirit. So create time to pray in the Spirit for long hours because there is so much to do.
