My 25th Birthday Thought

When I read the comments of people concerning my life, I sat back to introspect and see if I really measure up to the level that people have placed me. It's my 25th birthday and I have been privileged to serve in offices that command honour and respect. While in college, my classmates that call me by my name without putting the title- Pastor are very few. Right from 100L till 400L, I held 7 offices which were all "eye-catchy". My concern is this- am I being celebrated because I have held this offices or I am being celebrated because I really affected lives.

Many of the posts were tainted with the fact that I am very quiet, but yet they saw qualities to glean from my life. As an office holder, I had to reach out to people which was the last thing I can do within my ability. Everyone I have ever been a blessing to have been by Grace! It is so real to me. If God gives you an assignment, depend on Grace. A pastor said: "If you can calculate it, it's not Grace"

I gave my life to Christ when I was 19 years old. Over the 6 years, God has taught me that Christianity starts from knowing the Way, learning the Truth and living the Life. Growing up from a Christian home, I was shown the Way which I accepted at 19. I started learning the Truth. While learning the Truth, I found many people falling away. Some have stayed on learning without progressing while some backslided and began to say that God isn't real.

My friends, my life is very exciting because I have been experiencing the Living Christ. He is alive and real. No one can tell me that God is not real because I don't just know about Him, I live with Him. We chat and gist all day. Even when am asleep, He still reaches out to me. He is my friend.

If you just gave your life to Christ, learn about Him and press to become Him. It's so exciting!
If you have given your life to Christ, learn about Him and press to experience the things you are learning about.
If you're already experiencing the things you learnt, there is more. Keep pressing into God.

I am seriously pressing into God these days; the more I know Him, the more I get more interested. Keep pressing!

Amen brother. Powerful thoughts. It's true that sometimes many are given accolades based on the offices they held. It is important for every "office" holder, whether secular or spiritual, to accurately appraise himself or herself based on his/her perceived impact and not just on the praise of men. People can be sweet talkers you know especially during celebrations like birthdays. It's only normal that you say nice things on a person's birthday and even sound poetic if you are good with words.

In any case, you, my friend and pastor, has been a real blessing and I know I am speaking the mind of many others. Keep it up. Am glad I can "famz" you.

Oranmiyan (Part 3: Origin of Yoruba)

Our journey will begin by identifying who the Yoruba people are. From the stories and relics of the children of the tribe, it is obvious that the projenitors of the tribe were deeply rooted in sorcery. Especially those who constitute the royal families. Their blood lines is soaked in idolatry, divination and sorcery. They know how to access principalities and powers and learn their worship modes. There are many stories about the origin of the Yoruba race. The Yoruba race has two major stories about their origin. One is supernatural. The other is natural The supernatural or divine one said that the supreme being, God, sent a god- Obatala to come and create the earth, but he got drunk and God had to send another god- Oduduwa. This is what some people hold. This school of thought has several loopholes chief of which is that Oduduwa entered Ile Ife in 11AD, but Ife Arts, according to carbon dating goes way back as 500BC which means that there was life in Ile Ife before Oduduwa came in. Oranmiyan (Part 4: Lamurudu vs Oduduwa)

After being forced out of his land, Lamurudu settled in Egypt for some time where he deepened his knowledge in sorcery. He learned several patterns of rituals which still exists in some parts of Ijebu today. At that time, the Egyptians have developed so well in the worship of their gods who were originally men. The concept of gods begins with a man encountering a demonic prince who is looking for obeisance from men. These princes have the same goal as Lucifer. Once they begin to get attention from a man, the man begins to take up their (dark) nature because it is a law in the spirit realm that whatever you behold, you become. The consecration of these men to the worship of the princes led to the reproduction of the abilities and characteristics of the prince in the man, so the man becomes great among other men. Most of these men takes up the name of the prince that they worship such that when the man dies, you can keep calling his name and the prince responds to your request thereby es

Oranmiyan (Part 5: The gods of Egypt)

During the sojourn of Lamurudu in Egypt, what was going on in Egypt at that time was similar to what happened in Genesis 6:1-2 where demonic entities found a way to reproduce themselves in women to establish a race of beings that were not fully humans. These creatures were very big that they were called Giants. They had 6 fingers and toes and unusual strength. Bible refer to them as Nephilims which means mysterious beings who are large and strong. Some other meanings called them fallen ones. They had supernatural abilities and they preyed on full humans. The situation was like what was portrayed in Harry Potter that had pure bloods, half bloods, mud bloods and muggles. The pure bloods were the witches whose both parents are also witches, half blood is a witch with one parent as witch, mud blood has both parents as normal people and muggles are non witches. At that time in Genesis 6, the Nephilims had created another race on earth that paralleled the pure humans. This what why God sent
