In 2020, there was an uproar in Nigeria that called for a change in the experiences of the common Nigerian. This uproar wasn't just a natural protest that stemmed from the frustration of people; it was actually a cry in the spirit to see the true destiny of the nation birthed.
This uproar changed the mindset of a lot of people and crystallized the idea that Nigeria can truly change. This affected the tide of the 2023 elections, where young people were stirred up to hope and push for something better- someone better. The emergence of Peter Obi on the platform of the Labour Party was the product of this. The hope that a new Nigeria can truly be birthed pushed Peter Obi and the Labour Party to great heights. Many who had the ambition of becoming leaders at various levels took advantage of the platform and ran for office. One of them was a man from Abia State- Alex Otti, who ran for the office of the governor of Abia State.
The returning officer for the electoral body in the state was reported to have declined bribes in order to announce the actual person who won the election. While Peter Obi didn't win the presidential election, Alex Otti is the only one who won the gubernatorial election from the Labour Party.
In the bible, we have some stories of men whose lives were a signal or a time clock to some prophetic events. For example, the birth of Enosh, the son of Seth, signalled the beginning of prayers, the death of Methuselah signalled the beginning of the flood of Noah, and the ministry of John the Baptist signalled the emergence of Jesus' ministry.
Alex Otti's emergence in Nigeria came from the cries from the realm of the spirit in 2020, and it is a sign that the true destiny of Nigeria can be birthed. This was confirmed in a recent meeting where Cindy Jacobs visited Nigeria. She called him out and gave the following prophecy: 'God wants you to be a model. God wants you to be a prototype of what can be done in the region when God is exalted.
Apostle Arome, in his prophetic broadcast at the 2026 International Eagles' Conference, revealed that the LORD told him that the rise of Alex Otti is a sign that it is possible to govern with integrity and competence, and that developmental progress is possible in Nigeria.
Deut 19:15b says that by the mouth of two or three witnesses the matter shall be established. From the witness of Prophet Cindy Jacobs and Apostle Arome Osayi, we can conclude that the rise of Alex Otti is like a cloud, as small as a man's hand, rising out of the sea which is a sign of heavy rain coming very soon.
