After the #EndSARS protests that rocked many parts of the
nation, Prophet Fanny organized a meeting where prophets around the country
made known their hearts on what they believe God is doing in Nigeria at that
time. One of the words that stuck with me was that Nigeria is at war with a
strong man.
A strong man is a spirit that enforces a certain experience
in the territory, a family or an individual. Forward to July 2021, I took some
lessons about a strong man and how to deal with it and I found out that a
strong man can take the will of a leader in the territory or family and ensure
that the person acts according to his dictates. Many of us have seen this
manifest in families where someone needs to be eliminated sort of, before some
good things can happen. This is because the person has allowed his/her will to
be completely usurped by the strong man.
Tying this to Nigeria, I have watched Buhari metamorphose in
the last 4 years. He seems to get deeper and deeper into something that is not
supposed to be of a democratic leader. Sometimes in May 2021, I had a
confrontation from the strong man of Nigeria. In a dream, walked into a room
where Nigerian leaders were having a sort of gathering. I saw the president and
I, with a friend, made to take pictures with him. He turned at us with a smile
and obliged. In a twinkle, this same man turned at me and said 'you know too
much. I will kill you' Immediately, I saw several men turn towards me and
started shooting. It was like a high level stage of schizophrenia; two personalities
in the same man.
Presently, our president has been subject to a great
influence of the strong man of Nigeria. As a matter of fact, it seems like the
strong man is fully in charge of everything. One way to ascertain this is to
consider the form of solution that we have been seeking to solve the challenges
of Nigeria, especially the security situation in the south west. Last week, I
saw in the news that Osun state inaugurated 42,000 hunters to help fight the
insecurity. I watched how these hunters donned all manners of charm on National
TV. Witches and priests of demonic altars sat with the governor to forge a way
forward. My heart sank! They were proudly showing forth the things they ought
to gather to burn at crusades. Is that the solution? Do we now trust in the
charms of Amotekun? And boldly? Are we moving forward or backward?
To be clear, I do not see Sunday Igboho as working for
Zion's purposes. Being against the Fulani's unlawful encroachments is not
automatically equal to being on God's sides. Another discussion for another
day. Right now, believers are looking at the wrong places for solution. Many
have neglected the plan from the LORD. Just like the devil seeks to dissuade a
man from following God’s plan through challenges, the devil is trying to give
Nigeria another direction. The goal remains one: Nigeria will be the most
peaceful nation on earth before Jesus comes (Cindy Jacobs, 2002); Nigeria will
be a prototype of the kingdom of God on earth (S.G. Elton). We are not going
back to the charms that our grandfathers in the faith spent their life to
abolish!
The church is being overcome by grief and hatred. There is a
reason why Paul said we should stand in gap for those in authority. He said so
that we would lead a quiet and peaceable life. The equation is simple. Look
around you. How many are standing in gap for Buhari? Are we fulfilling 1Tim
2:2? The church must learn to provide spiritual cover for those in authority so
that they can be immune to the dictates of the hordes of darkness seeking to
engulf our land. From what I can see here, Buhari has been opened up to too
many demonic influences; major portals of darkness are currently opened in our
land. Gone are the days when you need to be rich or related to a rich person
before you can be subject to kidnapping. Blood sucking demons are in every
corner of this country. Stealing, killing and destruction are the very
signature of the devil!
We need to repent. We have been hurt. Many times. However,
we need to cover this man. He needs us more than we think. Our intercession
will be therapeutic. Jihad is bigger than Buhari. Pray for your president! In
