I am now in a dangerous spot. I have tricked Miss Maggi into
believing that there is someone who wants to help her to get Coke back on
track. If she finds out that I am the one that is playing on her intelligence,
it could cost me my job. I have to be very careful how I handle this matter.
That night, I was troubled. When I told the Holy Spirit, He simply told me to
be at rest.
The following day, I decided to let go of my frowning face,
but I really want to see what Miss Maggi has in plan for me. She has never
shown any form of care for anyone. I am interested in this. That morning, she
walked in in her usual style and when she was settled, I expected her to call
me. I waited for what was like a whole year, but Miss Maggi did not call me. I
was tempted to go into her office to ask if she needs anything, hoping that she
would summon courage to talk to me, but I decided against it as I am supposed
to still be angry.
The time eventually showed up when I heard my name. I waited
for her to call me about 3 times before I answered. I had to take some time to
calm down. I walked into her office as she was just about to raise her voice
again to call me. She screamed at me when she saw me for delaying her call. I
apologized. She went blank for another 15 seconds before she said ‘sit down’. I
was shocked. Miss Maggi has never allowed me to sit in her presence. “Ma’am,
did you ask me to sit?” “Are you deaf? I said sit!” I started crying. “Coke,
what’s going on?” “Please ma, don’t sack me.” She was shocked at my request. “What
are you talking about?” “You have never asked me to sit in your presence.
Telling me to sit means you want to sack me.”
“Coke, I am not sacking you. I want to have a discussion with you. So,
please, sit down.” This is a night mare! Miss Maggi used the word ‘please’ for
me? I stopped all my acting and sat down.
“Coke, I know you don’t like me. I really don’t care, but
you have been inactive for some days. What is going on?” Dear LORD, I am in
trouble. What will I say is going on? “Hmmm, Miss Maggi, if I talk about it,
you will not believe me.” “Just say it.” “Well, it’s because of you, ma.” She
rested her wide back and focused her stinging eyes on me. Her face began to
gather into a storm. I just stepped on the tail of a viper! “Go on.” Dear LORD,
In You I commit my soul. It’s time to confess!
