Matthew 24:1-2 Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said to them, "Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not [one] stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down."
The destruction of the temple which signifies the destruction of the patterns and ideas we use to serve God will not affect ministries alone, but individual christians will also feel the heat of the shaking.
The destruction of the temple signifies the building of another. The temple is built using stones that have been chiseled into the shape and size needed for it to fit perfectly into its place in the building.
When the construction of the temple built by Solomon was going on, bible records in that there was not a single hammering that took place at the temple site. Every stone has been cut into shape before it arrived at the temple site where it was simply fitted into it rightful position.
This is the same pattern for the temple of Jesus today. This temple is being built by living stones (1Peter 2:5) such that we all have our unique shape, size and position in the temple. It is important that we go through the processes of the LORD that will ensure that we are cut into the right shape.
Many believers are not in the right shape today because they are not willing to follow the LORD's calling for their life. They are the ones deciding their own choices. As we approach the end of the age, such christians will not have a place in the temple of Jesus. They will be washed away by the destruction of the temple.
Individuals must also check out their lives and be certain that their life does not contain things that will be broken down by Jesus. Paul puts it in another way in 1 Corinthians 3. He says that some are building with wood, hay and stubble while others are building with precious stones. He said that the entire temple will be tested by fire.
Precious stones will come out purified by fire while wood, hay and stubble will be burnt out if the temple. We are already in the days of this shaking and I urge everyone to do a reexamination and be certain that you fit in perfectly to the temple of Jesus.
