Hearing God: Inner Witness

Hearing God is an ability that every believer longs for, but very few have. People get interested whenever they hear anyone sharing a formula about hearing God. As much as we long to hear God, we may just be blocking our ears with a little thing. I got my breakthrough in this when I read Romans 12:6 in NLT version. It dawned on me that my hearing God is based on how much I believe that it is God that is speaking to me. So, I began to take the impressions in my heart seriously, believing that it is God that put the impression there. Since then, I have seen a tremendous growth in how much I hear God. Often times, we look for God in the spectacular things like prophecy, dream, vision, trance or through another christian. There is nothing wrong with all that, but you must know that the still small voice within you carry a lot of weight. We often discard and disobey the still small voice and we long to have dreams. The Joel Army

I was part of the team that went for a mission outreach to a school (the school has primary and secondary) today. We got there earlier than the scheduled time, so we had to wait in the principal's office for some time before the fellowship would start. While waiting, I decided to check the book of Joel again. I read chapter 1 and few verses in chapter 2. I couldn't continue the reading because my entire fingers were shaking. It seems like some powers entered into it from the bible I was holding. I had to stand up and pace the principal's office to ease myself a little bit. What I saw in chapter 1 made my heart burn! Joel described the terrible situation of the land. Crops being destroyed by insects, the fruits that were ripe for harvest were all left to rot away. The animals had no food to eat nor water to drink. The fountains had dried!
